East Chambers tourney scores
AggiesAreWe replied to HoopInsider_Cooper's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
BTW whsalum, Silsbee beat NW without the Tigers leading scorer Pheal Hill and their 6th man Xavior Harris. ;) (I think I have said this already) ;D -
Making excuses for your mistakes, typical. ::) You didn't know any better until I pointed it out to you. Had nothing to do with the time, just the knowledge, or lack of. ;) I imagine that someone in the world knows more than me, just not you. ;)

I wasn't comparing them to Kountze.I was just talking about ways to give them trouble.I wasn't taking anything away from them because they went to the drum the last 2 seasons.I believe it was Sabine that slowed the ball down and played them pretty close last year.FYI Kountze doesn't look like the club they were last year so don't put to much in to the 0-4 record over the last 2 seasons. From my observations over the past 4 or 5 years Kountze and New Waverly like to play the same type game. This year I think Kountze will win that matchup.Neither club will want to play a team that sloandws the ball down and handles the pressure well.
Well I was there and it was actually Nw that held the ball the whole 3 quater. They then did what you say running teams can't do and that's run a delay game for six minutes. If you have ever seen them play, they do it quite often. They can run and then put on the brakes, did it all the way through district and most of the 4th quater against Kountze last year. They also kept Silsbee and HJ under 50 does that say anything.
Silsbee defeated New Waverly 55-45. ;) -
How long have they been in 21-3A...four years right? First year...Won district, next 2...split, last year...no playoffs. Might I add...both years they split they lost the play in game :) But at least they were in the play in game.
See, there you go again with that "no knowledge" talk. A "play in" game is one where two teams are tied for that last playoff spot and the winner of the "play in" game advances to the playoffs. The "seeding" game which you are speaking of, is where two teams have tied for either the first or second place, both will go to the playoffs, they are only playing the game for seeding purposes. You need anymore help I will be happy to help you out. Looks as though you need all that you can get.
Score for the WB/Silsbee games ?
Only time they have played was at the YMBL. Score was 65-60, WB. They will play tomorrow in Silsbee at 3pm.
-
Come on people be realistic WB and PAM both will win by 20
Realistic?? West Brook escaped with a 5 point win over Silsbee in the YMBL. There won't be any 20 point win for either team. Silsbee wins this rematch.
18 3A starts tomorrow night....Huntington has won three out of the last four game one of the series......should be a good game. The games I saw, which you won a couple of btw, he got his points by working the offensive glass and and being at the right place at the right time. It was not a case of "feeding" him the ball. Even the games that EC lost that I saw, he wasn't necessarily they lost because #33 didn't get the ball enough. It was the case of EC not being patient enough and not playing hard and turning the ball over. I have watched enough basketball in my lifetime and seen enough this year from different teams, including East Chambers, that I think I know who a "go-to" type player is. Again, #33 is a fair player, and will help the team make the playoffs. But I would not call him a central part of the team. He needs more work to be at that level.
Aggie are you going to be at the ford park game?
No, I'll be broadcasting the Silsbee vs. West Brook game in Silsbee at 3pm. Then afterwards I'll be off to watch Lamar play in the Montagne. -

I was at the HJ tourney. Like I said, let's not make mountains out of mole hills. He is a descent player and will help this Buc team, but he is not a go-to type player. -
West Brook played in the James Gamble tourney this week against much better competition. I still think Silsbee is the better team, never should have lost to WB in the YMBL. Silsbee wins this time, 67-56.
