My comment was aimed strictly at a certain poster. Was not meant to be negative towards the Tarkington team. Hope they have a successful season.

So Tarkington only beat Hardin by 3 and they were actually down by 20 to the Hornets at one time. That doesn't sound like a team that will battle for a playoff spot out of 22-3A. ;)

Kountze took control in the second half because of their tenacious defense. I don't think I have ever seen Zay play that agressively on the defensive end. He was everywhere!!! Lumberton couldn't hit the broadside of a barn in the 2nd half.

[/quote] What I was envisioning was a forum that did not require near the upkeep for football that was required of you this year.  Put schedules at the beginning of the season and (MAYBE) standings...and that would be under coverage area you had for the past two weeks...and that would be all for football season.  No previews, no updating of schedules with scores or a scoreboard or anything like that.  The other content would be provided by the posters themselves. As for for basketball, I'd say make Brad a mod, wind him up and let him go do any and all that he is willing to do. Now getting interest, that's another issue. again, I say try a Eastex basketball forum and see how that works and go from there.

As a fan, I would prefer Provost-Umphrey over Da Butch. Much better stadium to watch a game. As a broadcaster, I prefer Da Butch. The pressbox is much, much nicer and easier to work in than the pressbox at PU.

The Eastex site is temporarily down. Being discussed if it will be brought back. Also discussing if we may just add an Eastex forum to this site.

I know Brad would be a little happier.  ;D I don't know what he is going to do with himself now.

Actually, this particular student attended Silsbee schools up until last year. He only was at Woodville for one year. Trust me, the reasoning for transfer in both cases were not athletic related.

I say we put a basketball forum for Eastex in our basketball forum. Put it up in the segment up top where the youth, college, and pro basketball forums are.
