Sources are saying that the Bishop family will pursue legal action on his suspension.

SEC rules that Coach Bishop has been suspended from football activities for remainder of season including playoffs. He will also be on probation for next school year, The IT employee is banned from all UIL activities for one year. There will be no forfeitures. Palestine Westwood will remain 7-0, 2-0 in district play. They will play Teague tomorrow night as scheduled.

Divisions will be about enrollment. Two largest of the four teams qualifying for playoffs will go DI, other two will go DII. This will be for this year and next. Nest realignment will have districts separated like football. You are correct that there will be some districts that has all their schools with enrollments larger than every school in other districts. So it's likely you will have what some would consider DI schools still playing DII schools in the playoffs.

I am going to predict that the SEC will rule that Westwood will have to forfeit games already played but not future games. Also, Coach Bishop will be suspended the remainder of the season. Normally (about 95% of the time) the SEC will back the DEC ruling. It's very rare they go against the DEC. So Westwood folks need to prepare for their season to be over.

Haven't heard how healthy Silsbee is but I know some of the starters that missed a few games played last week. I got WO-S in this one even if Silsbee is 100% healthy. Too much speed.

I can list several names for the boys side but I will not pick just one. lol It's hard to argue the two mentioned (Boutte and Robinson) There is a local coach that has done something that not too many in the state has ever done (not sure if ever). That's take 5 different schools to the state tourney. (4 of the 5 are coverage area teams). Anyways, interesting topic.
