Here's the scoop: Silsbee and Evadale (Williams & Williams) got together in the summer and scheduled this game. Evadale approached Silsbee about scheduling the game and Silsbee said yes. Travis and Laurence are good friends and wanted this game. HJ called Evadale looking for a game this week because HJ had no game for this week after a team dropped them from their schedule. Evadale was off Friday night so Laurence agreed to play HJ. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Wish this game was Friday night instead of tonight. I would be broadcasting this one. I got EC at home, 67-64.

I don't see where anyone is hammering Evadale for playing HJ and Silsbee. The person who started this thread is hammering HJ and Silsbee for playing Evadale. I was told that Flower Mound Marcus turned HJ down and Yates turned Silsbee down, therefore Evadale stepped in. ;)

The #7 state ranked Silsbee Tigers will play host to their cross river neighbors the Evadale Rebels in one of the last few non-district games for both teams, TONIGHT at 7:30pm in the Tiger Den. Silsbee (12-6) #3 in this weeks 5A-3A Dirty Dozen poll, come off a 2-2 result at the Sherman Holiday Invitational. Evadale (10-7) #8 in the 2A-Private Dirty Dozen poll, won the consolation championship at the Woodville Holiday tourney and then on Friday avenged an earlier loss to Buna by defeating the Cougars 57-56. The last time Evadale and Silsbee played was in 2009 at the Woodville tourney with Silsbee getting the win. Broadcast will start 10 minutes prior to tip off which is scheduled for 7:30pm.
