4. Just checked the Houston Chronicle. Halftime score of the football game between La Porte and Deer Park was 14-7 La Porte. The final was 34-31 La Porte. There is a chance that this basketball game could be less total points that their football game.
 5. Halftime La Porte    15 Deer Park  11 Yes, it's 15-11 at the half. Curious as to what the score was at the halftime of their football game this past season.
 6.
I think the 1000 number was for the ladies game, the announced attendance for the men was about 3200 and being there I would say that was fairly accurate.  Need students to start attending.
Glad to hear this. I was a bit concerned.
 7.
wats going on with the Wac
Two of their best players got hurt in football, cannot play this season. Then a couple of weeks ago, Coach West kicked off 4 of his players (3 starters) for failing a drug test. The varsity is basically a JV team and will remain that way the rest of the season.

 10. Just got off the phone with Coach Collins. The game ended in regulation tied at 75. Silsbee out scored Navasota 10-0 in OT. Silsbee trailed 74-71 with 30 seconds left in regulation but Navasota committed a foul then the player got a technical, Silsbee made all 4 free throws to give them the lead at 75-74. Navasota went down court and drew a foul from Silsbee, made 1 of 2 free throws to tie the game at 75 with 10 seconds left. Silsbee missed a 12 foot jumper and two tip in's to end regulation tied at 75. Silsbee controlled the pace in the OT and clamped down defensively in OT, also limiting Navasota to just one shot per trip by hitting the defensive glass hard. Tigers sewed the game away at the line, going 4-4 down the stretch. Very good road win for Silsbee heading into district play. Was told this is a very good Navasota team, one that resembles Silsbee in many ways. They have a couple of players that can really shoot the ball. Navasota made 11 three pointers in the game. Silsbee improves to 14-6 and will not play another game till Jan. 13th at home against Hardin-Jefferson.
 11.
Final Silsbee 85 Navasota 75
WOW!!!!! Navasota goes scoreless in OT??
 12.
OT 75 all
Ken, are we making free throws?
 13. Santa said he was going to this game. Hopefully he can give us some updates.
 14. I personally believe that Central is better than Nederland. I mean a depleted Jaguar team (only had 8 players at the time) did beat Nederland on the Bulldogs home court in the Nederland tourney. ;) With the "real" games underway now, we'll see if that still holds true.
 15. What impressed me the most about Central's win over Nederland in the Nederland tourney was the fact that Central only had 8 players for that game. The Jags were missing 5 players that day (1 starter and 3 key back ups). Central was very thin on the bench that day yet beat Nederland on their home court. Looking forward to being there Tuesday night to broadcast this rematch.
 16. Due to a family illness (my sister), I will not be making the trip to Navasota today to broadcast the Tigers game with the Rattlers. Sorry for the inconvenience. Next Silsbee broadcast will be next Friday night at home against Hardin-Jefferson. My next broadcast will be Tuesday night at Nederland when the Bulldogs play host to the Central Jaguars. Again, I do apologize for not broadcasting today.
 17. From last night: #14 Dallas Madison (9-7)    82 #4 Burkburnett      (18-4)    60

 19.
Wow... I didn't know, I knew kingwood park was good
Humble had already beaten Kingwood Park earlier in the season at the McDonalds tourney. Humble had just come off of beating a very good 5A North Shore team in the championship game of the Kingwood tourney.
 20.
What is its significance .... Low scoring???
Humble was 14-4 and ranked #13 in state. Most folks had them as one of the top 4 teams in Region III.

 24.
Liberty Won, i dont know the score, but i know it was by 8 points, cause i went..
But you couldn't remember the score. :(
 25.
Why no freshman game?
Silsbee combined their 9th and JV due to low numbers for 9th (grades and participation) 9th only has 6 players left.
