1.
Ive heard a rumor of who Kountze might play...and if its true.. :-X
I heard the same. Ain't happening. Spoke with that "other" team peeps and they are likely to go to DFW area to play one of those teams.
 2. Will not happen. Looks like Silsbee will be headed to Fort Worth for Whataburger Playoff Preview. (as long as they are not involved in any seed game)
 3. 58 total fouls, 78 free throws. Ridiculous

 5.
That was just a good old fashioned butt kicking. Broaddus had no answer for San Augustine's pressure and San Augustine killed them on the boards. 5 guys were in double digits, another had 8. Starters were on the bench about the last 10 minutes of the game.
Starters were on the floor to start the 4th quarter.

HD crushed WH 73-59!! SP even beat WH, so yes, WH is worse than them. Come on! SMH! Like I said, 40!!!!!
Since when is a 14 point win "crushing" a team?
Since is was basketball.  ;) 14 points in bb is a lot.
14 point win in basketball is not "crushing" a team. Seen many a 14 point win that only became a 14 point win in the last minute of game because the other team fouling to get the clock stopped. This is an example of a team "crushing" another team: Jan. 11    Big Sandy          82                 Hull-Daisetta      31
 19.

Silsbee's top two scores in Chris Elam and Jordan Holmes were football stars on the field. Also Silsbee All-State QB Patrick Reed is 3rd leading scorer and leading rebounder for Silsbee.
Just curious: do those kids you mention play basketball in the spring and summer? Also, do they lift weights during their football period on basketball game days?
They play summer ball but also play 7 on 7. Those players are in basketball class during basketball season.
 20. DV, I spoke with Williams and Brown, not the first time these two have come to watch these two players. In fact, UNC coach Roy Williams flew down to Nederland on Thursday, first day of Nederland tourney, flew back to North Carolina that night, then flew back to Nederland with his assistant the next day. Jackson's parents told me that Williams has been recruiting Justin for quite some time now. Also, both coaches were there to see Isiah Taylor of The Village.
 21.
He is playing at St. John's...SPC league... ::) ::)...He is talented, but SUPER SOFT, and though he would be an above average talent in 4A/5A, he would not stand out as spectacular as he is now.  I saw him in November and was not impressed. He COULD have taken over the game against MUCH less talent, but just floated along and blended in..He was not that good then.  HCYA's Justin Jackson, is a really talented player with great upside as well, but once again, that home-school league is not helping his game either. Summer ball will hopefully save them both. Yes Bluedove, AAU is STILL the devil, but it is a necessary evil for some!  8)
DV, what I put in bold in your post is what may have some up in arms. You cannot make that kind of claim just on one game.
 22. If the likes of Roy Williams and Larry Brown want these guys on their teams, then I'll take their opinions over anyone on this messageboard.  ;) Don't think these coaches recruit "softies". ::)
