Very poor comparison. Silsbee missing 8 players, 5 of which played varsity last year, 3 were starters, the other two main contributors off the bench. Central's "big" just one player who has yet to put on a Central uniform. Much, much different situation. Really amazing you can't see that. smh

I personally hope Silsbee basketball is "Lite" till after Dec. 18.

Correct. That was a mostly JV team. This "Lite" team is suiting out 8 players currently, 6 of which will be varsity players. The other two will go back to JV when the 8 football/basketball players arrive.

Just means we will be playing for the Regional championship in football.

I am hoping it's still a Silsbee Lite team that faces the giant 5A Beaumont Central on Tuesday night.

I think the point is the amount. A few, maybe not necessary. 8 players missing with 3 of them starters, I will call them "Lite". Actually getting compliments on the new nickname.

I have attached the nickname "Silsbee Lite" to the current Silsbee varsity team because they are about 7-8 varsity players "light" due to football. Didn't realize that would be hard to figure out or understand. smh
