In school board meeting tonight, Silsbee ISD has hired Randy Smith, Offensive Co. at Cypress Ranch, as it's next AD/HC. New era begins at Silsbee High School.

do not go by Maxpreps. The playoff brackets that are currently on UIL site (Maxpreps) do not have the state tourney matchups. If look at 2A you will see that they have Big Sandy playing Canadian but we know that BS is playing Muenster.

All coaches have received email from UIL at 9am stating who they play and at what time. UIL website has not updated their brackets yet

In the two regional games, Silsbee had a combined 56 fouls. Their opponents, 38. This was a great example of how much of an advantage Silsbee has with their quality depth. Having more than 4 players each game in foul trouble would doom most teams. Very much a blessing that Silsbee can go 10-12 deep.

Was very impressed by both Navasota and Center last night. Both very good teams. Navasota is very capable of beating Silsbee without the Tigers playing bad. With that said, if Silsbee plays it's best, it won't matter how well Navasota plays, Tigers win. This will be a very good game. Should come down to last couple of minutes.
