  1. HF may not score as much as last time but I am hearing the Tigers are on a mission to break scoring record.
  2. Hamshire-Fannett +80 Silsbee -80 over/under 188
  3. If these reports are true, the guy should never be allowed to coach again.
  4. I watched him this season. He is good, but not on the level of some other guards in this area.
  5. I'll take Tenaha with Grapeland Regional runner up. I would also add Chireno in that mix of teams you listed.
  6. Willie Jones Texas State
  7. Silsbee playing 1-2-2 zone the entire 4th quarter was quite refreshing. It was nice to see these guys can play something other than man to man. Kudos to Coach Sigler. Still love me some "in your face" man to man defense.
  8. Brazosport is Region IV and will represent that region in San Antonio.

  10. Broadcast will start in 10 minutes.

  15. Yep. Probably around 7:20pm
  16. Yates lost by 20 to North Forest in district play.
  17. Why does it need to be discussed?
  18. Why is this relevant to this game? Or for that matter, any game from here on out?
  19. and why I refuse to make a list. With so many teams we cover, it's really useless to make one. Going to always leave someone off that's deserving. I say make a 6A/5A, 4A/3A, 2A-Private and be done with it.
  20. My point being that everyone has their own opinion of what they consider "southeast Texas". IMO, as far as this site goes, every team that is in a district we cover here is considered SETX. So, take a look at the district standings thread and you will see what I am talking about.
  21. Rankings have been updated for Jan. 30 and posted in pinned threads up top of forum. New #1 in SETXsports small school poll. PA Memorial enters state rankings at #19. Buna up to #12 in state rankings. Beaumont Legacy enters at #8 in state rankings
  22. I hope my comments were not taken as a negative. I am not saying Central, PAM, Ozen or Nederland couldn't advance thru those teams, just would be very tough. Of the teams I listed, Waco University is the only team I haven't seen but them being ranked #1 pretty much is self explanatory. Humble will face likely Nederland in first round. That will be a very tough game for Ned. Porter, with the Rhea twins back, will be a tough game for Ozen if the Panthers finish 3rd in district. Texas City and Manvel have a good combination of size and guard play. Elkins and Marshall might be the best 3 and 4 seeds in the state. They will cause some disruption in the playoff brackets. 22-5A may benefit from this as by the 4th round, 2 of the 4 teams will be eliminated by the other two. From folks I have talked to, Waco University is legit! The 22-5A rep that gets the opposite side of the bracket of WU will most likely get the deepest run. Just my opinion.
