AggiesAreWe

My very first year. I was an 8 year old kid taking in the Dallas Roosevelt vs. Houston Wheatley state semifinal game which Roosevelt won 111-109. Game was in Gregory Gym and the place was electric. Jammed pack gym that had folks climbing out on top of the roof looking thru the windows watching the game. UNBELIEVABLE!! Safe to say, I was hooked. Lot's of memories made with those trips with my father. He made 50 straight before he became too ill to go then passed away in 2010. I am just carrying on the tradition. I'll have to come back to this thread with some other memories that stand out.

Bout to make my 47th straight state tournament. Started in 1972, haven't missed a year since. Dang I'm old!

Bigcam is the man!! Thanks for your effort in getting this done. Would have been a shame not to broadcast the Titans while I was there. Now lets bring back 4 state championships to our coverage area.

bump

I actually got the feeling that some local folks were looking forward to Yates beating Silsbee and being able to come on here and spout off. Some certain posters have gone awol here in last couple of days. Also, I am keeping a close eye on some certain media folk.

Hughes had 17 at the half, 25 at the end of 3rd, but scored only 4 points in the 4th.

All games but the 6A state championship will be streamed live at NHFS website for a subscription fee. 6A state title game will be in Fox Sports Southwest.

Also, Silsbee's big 3 in Adams, Bush and McCain combined to average 75 points a game for the 2 games. Bush scored 64, McCain 52 and Adams 34. Throw in Barnes 25 points and those four scored 175 of Silsbee's 195 points this weekend.

By far the best 2 game free throw shooting this Tiger team has had all season. Combined 2 games of 47 of 57, 83%. That's about as good a FT shooting that I have seen from Silsbee in many many years. Won both games IMO.

Let's get ready to rumble! !!

My prediction, 91 88 Silsbee

Silsbee was 20 of 24 from ft line. Best of the season and best that I can remember. Credit has to go to the broadcaster. Lol

I missed it too. It was great being back.

This game will be broadcast here at SETXsports. Looking forward to being back on the air broadcasting Silsbee Tiger basketball.

Working on it. Not a done deal yet. Need sponsors.

Which doesn't cover the same amount of schools as we do here.

Just compare it to a batting average. .300 is considered very good. Sometimes we bat over .500. Please, point out our hitting problems.
