  2. 16-9 Silsbee 1:28 1st
  3. We have the game being on Tuesday night, not Monday.
  4. 3A New Waverly vs. Palacios Tuesday, Feb. 25 7:30pm Shadow Creek HS, Alvin
  5. Don't remember. Been a while since I have been there.
  6. 2A Sabine Pass vs. Zavalla Tuesday, Feb. 25 8pm Warren HS
  7. Updated for Feb. 24 Final regular season rankings
  8. It's 2013 and 2014. Silsbee did not play Yates in 2012. Yes, I know the seasons start in November, but the playoffs don't. That's the years we are discussing.
  9. We are still needing two Bi-District match up info: New Waverly/Palacios Sabine Pass/Zavalla
  10. Lost to Yates in 3rd round in 2013 and 2014
  11. Lake Olympia is a middle school in Fort Bend ISD. It's my understanding that this was their first loss ever as middle schoolers.
  12. Not really. Houston Washington HS
  13. Most likely this was the case. I know that Shepherd and Livingston was doing most of the leg work in getting venues for their games with HJ and Silsbee.
  14. Livingston has played 2 common opponents with Silsbee. Lions lost to Hamshire-Fannett 52-35 and defeated WO-S 55-51. Both games were in the East Chambers Holiday tourney.
  15. Yes, particularly #10
  16. I can see 4-5 maybe even 6 of these guys on varsity next year. Silsbee varsity next year could possibly have 5 soph. and 5 freshmen. Gilder will be the lone starter returning next season. Teams better get their licks in next year.
  17. 1A Goodrich vs. Moulton Tuesday, Feb. 25 6pm Brookshire-Royal HS
  18. Shelbyville (W22) v Alto (F21) - Tues 7pm @ Tenaha Tenaha (R22) v Mt Enterprise (T21) - Mon 6:30p @ Panola College
  19. I am predicting Huffman to meet Silsbee in 3rd round but Huffman can't sleep on Hamshire-Fannett in the first round.
  20. Because we combine 3 classifications in our two polls, sometimes the rankings do look a bit "odd". I would not bet against those three against Huffman (though it does depend on the point spread). But I think I have explained my rankings over the years enough. It's not always about "who would beat who". It's about who is playing or performing the best within their classification and/or outside their classification. Huffman is 31-2 on the year and has won 16 in a row. I agree, their district is not that strong. But like I said, they kept moving up because they kept winning and teams ahead of them took losses.
  21. That's the ticket. But you need to get the lead first. Tigee will hold it to make you come out and guard.
  22. Kountze lost to Jasper last night. And the most recent game between Orangefield and Kountze, Orangefield won.
