Wayne and Betty Dubose use to live in Silsbee. He was the city manager before he took the same position in Jasper. They lived on our street before moving to Jasper. Long, long time friends with my family.

It truly was a lot of fun. There were families from both sides that had been friends for a long time. When the game was in Silsbee, my parents usually hosted the get together and when the game was in Jasper, either the DuBose's or Foley's hosted. Usually around 30-40 people would be at these get togethers. I really miss those times.

Love it!! The Jasper game was always THE game back in my day. We always had big "get togethers" after the game with several families from Silsbee and Jasper. Was a great time.

They will care if the UIL shuts down football before 6A/5A can even start due to the small schools not complying with policy. 4A DI and 5A DI state championships were played at 10 am last year.

I have too. But doesn't mean a school cannot require them to be worn for entry. If it's required to attend games, then one should wear a mask to attend. Otherwise, you can stay home.

Your choice. But it's a business, school, public and private entity to have the right to require a mask. No different than the "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy.

I watched a couple of games this past weekend. For the most part, no social distancing was being practiced and from some pics I saw from other games, stadiums (mostly small schools, 3A and below) had much more than 50% capacity.

Silsbee's kicker will kick at the next level. Big weapon.

I can see this score but reversed. Silsbee's kicker rarely misses extra points.

What about North Shore and Atascocita in 6A?

Carthage does not have a game this week.
