My tentative schedule for this upcoming season including broadcasts: (Note: I will be broadcasting all of Silsbee football) Schedule is subject to change Week 1 Thursday Evadale vs. Overton in Jasper (broadcast) Friday PN-G at Silsbee (broadcast) Saturday Splendora at Houston Sterling Week 2 Thursday Nederland at Beaumont United (possible broadcast) Friday Newton at Silsbee (broadcast) Saturday Emory-Weiner at High Island Week 3 Friday Silsbee at Nederland (broadcast) Week 4 Thursday Bridge City at Silsbee (broadcast) Friday Huffman-Hargrave at Hardin-Jefferson (broadcast) Week 5 Thursday Beaumont United at Baytown Sterling (possible broadcast) Friday Silsbee at Lumberton (broadcast) Week 6 Thursday Goose Creek Memorial at PA Memorial (possible broadcast) Friday Longview Springhill at Silsbee (broadcast) Week 7 Thursday Orange Community Christian at High Island Friday WO-S at Silsbee (broadcast) Week 8 Thursday Sabine Pass at Orangefield JV Friday Silsbee at HJ (broadcast) Saturday New Caney at Kingwood Park Week 9 Thursday North Shore at Beaumont West Brook (possible broadcast) Friday Liberty at Silsbee (broadcast) Saturday Gilmer Union Hill at High Island Week 10 Thursday CE King at Baytown Sterling Friday Silsbee at Hamshire-Fannett (broadcast) Week 11 Thursday Baytown Sterling at Beaumont West Brook (possible broadcast) Friday Deer Park at Beaumont United (possible broadcast) Again this schedule is subject to change due to possible broadcast and playoff implications late in season. My commitment to broadcasting Silsbee football will limit me seeing other teams. Weeks 1-7 are pretty set. 8-11 can definitely be changed if there are more important games on Thursday and Saturday. Also, keeping my schedule to just teams in our coverage area with priority to having two teams in our coverage area playing each other.

5? Doesn't that add up to 4?

Yes. Working on my schedule right now. I'll have it posted in next couple of days.

This pretty much says everything. A player doesn't leave Green or Boutte to play for another coach unless that player wasn't getting any playing time prior. Promises promises. I can certainly agree with a parent taking their child out of BISD and moving to HFISD for academic purposes.

Contrary to popular belief, there are a few coaches that do not like this site. Therefore they will not cooperate or support what we do here. I have had personal experience on this matter. Not saying this is the case here, but there are the few.

But Vidor hosts a scrimmage against Silsbee the first week of scrimmages (Aug. 16)

They stormed the field because it was an historic win for the program. It was the program's 500 win which elevated them to being the winningest football program in the state of Texas for winning percentage, all classification.

It's about time. -
I've received a few private messages asking me to put out a list. No way Jose!!! Teams? Yes. Players? No thanks

But he did start for Texas State at QB just this past season. Just answering your question. Your memory seems to be worse than you thought or it is obviously biased towards anything Silsbee which we all know.
-
Texas State is a D-1 school. Therefore just this past two seasons Silsbee QB Willie Jones was the starting QB at Texas State.

Young man suffered some injuries that ended his playing career. Also made the decision for him to not pursue a college football career. He has a great job here locally and is doing well. How about we move on? Subject is kind of irrelevant these days. Except for ones who want to poke fun at his expense.

Not to mention he is top 5 in his class at Nederland. Zero issues getting qualified academically -

I agree. How about we not put so much undue pressure on these kids? Stating this particular group will be just as good or better than this past group that just graduated is a bit unfair. -
I can officially state that I will be back as full time broadcaster for Silsbee football starting in the fall.
