Just to recap Nederland, Lumberton, PNG, Livingston and Lee have games PAM, Ozen and Central have scrimmages Vidor still out of commission with the goal of starting school on the 19th

Icon forgot about Ozen. They are scrimmaging West Brook Friday.

If they are playing, I wonder where they are playing at. From what I gather, all BISD properties are off limits for practices or games until this water situation is corrected.

I was wondering the same thing when I heard Baytown Lee, PN-G and Nederland all had games this coming weeweekend. And if I recall, at least the later 2 had scrimmages. This will be our 1st time this year suiting up against anyone besides ourselves and today was the 1st practice since August 24th...

I seen on Good Morning America where Micheal Strahan, Deon Sanders and Under Armour are equipping Houston CE King for the season.

Beaumont Central @ Pasadena Rayburn, scrimmage @ 5 pm on Friday. Central's scrimmage against Channelview (August 25th) was cancelled along with their games against West Brook (September 1st) and Katy Tompkins (September 9th). So this will be their 1st time suiting up against another opponent this year.

WOSGrad, call Peevy and Nelson, lets play this game Saturday night. Taylor and Ozen can find an opponent more comparable to his schools size for this weekend. Everyone will be on short notice, so nobody will have an advantage. They can start back practicing tomorrow (as the Jags and Panthers are) giving them 3 days before a Saturday game. I can't speak for every community but I think some high school football would be a great and much needed outlet for MANY of these communities.

Probably PN-G since they are the only ones that have a game this week, with the exception of Baytown Lee.

I was working on a similar question on another post but I'll just post it here since it is related to what you asked... Can a school start football practice even though the school hasn't started classes? The reason I ask is because district play is supposed to start on the 15th but Port Arthur Memorial isn't scheduled to return to school for 3 to 4 weeks, last I heard.

Confirmed through a couple of sources. Beaumont Central @ Katy Tompkins has been cancelled. Jaguars will start season at Vidor.

I agree with your statement. West Brook vs Central, ok that's cool. Central vs Ozen, ok. But West Brook vs Ozen, how does that game benefit the Bruins. I agree with you, it doesn't. I heard on the last round, one of the games almost got dropped (don't recall which one) due to the late add of Livingston to 22-5A but former AD Saveat wasn't having any of that. Maybe new AD Jackson will consider during th next realignment and making of schedules.

I kind of figure that 22-5A will start playing football when district starts at the earliest. Most of the schools in 22-5A are scheduled to play schools in the Houston area. With Central's week 2 opponent being Katy Tompkins, in Katy, I doubt that's going to happen. I doubt BISD starts school on the 5th, more like the 11th in my opinion...
