  1. I totally agree. Wouldn't play in my program if I was coaching...
  2. So the school system was good enough for one child to set records but not good enough for the younger sibling? Where did you all find this Indian at?
  3. You must was homeschooled yourself. It's a message board where everyone, including you, can express the opinion...smh.
  4. If the school is not good enough for the child to attend daily like all the other students at that particular school, why is the football team or other extracurricular activity good enough? I think a home schooled kid would have a tough time being accepted by his/her other teammates on that particular team, jmo...
  5. My opinion, if the parents made that decision to home school them, then those same parents decided for there kid to not participate in school extracurricular activities.
  6. Nothing new as of yet but as soon as I do know, I promise this board will know...
  7. Nevermind. Old article that someone at the Surprise reposted today...
  8. He got you with that one Soulja...
  9. 1. PA-M- going to be a tough out this year, I'm expecting them to be better this year than last. That's scary. 2. Vidor- Like Soulja said, that JV team was loaded so anyone that graduated last year, will be replaced and they will be just fine. 3. PN-G- 1 injury away from being out of playoff talk. I hope they don't run the kid as much this year as they did last year. If he remains upright and healthy, the Indidans push for the #2 spot. If he goes down, they don't even make the playoffs. The Indians JV was the worse of the serious playoff contenders teams that I saw last year, not much help there. 4. Central- As far as the Jaguars go, to me, it all depends on who is given the head coaching position. If Nelson is given the top spot and he brings in who I hear is coming to be the DC, the Jaguars will finish somewhere between #2, 3 and 4. The talent is there, has always been there. Leadership and I'm not just saying the last 4 years but leadership has been Central's undoing in the past. Last years team shouldn't have lost a game except to PA-M, it was that evenly loaded across the board. The offense was sacrificed last year for the benefit of one player. In house Jaguar fans know what I'm talking about. The defense had 9 returning starters, that apparently were not put in the best position to stop anyone. It was time for the change and I welcome it... 5. Nederland- If Johnson goes down for the Indians, the Bulldogs get in, otherwise they'll miss again.
  10. Way to represent your current school (Texas), your old school (Central) and most importantly, yourself and your family name. Talked to his dad last week at our daughters track meet and he told me that his son said that he has never been through a strength and conditioning program as intense as what Herman is putting him through. I expect to see this young man at the NFL combine in a year or 2.
  11. Good and understandable post until the last part...
  12. Nelson currently has the Interim tag... Also heard today that the current principal at Central will be the next AD.
  13. Well with Nederland hiring Barrow, looks like we are the last opening in the area. But in fairness, we have only been open 2 weeks. Hoping for a decision before Spring Break.
  14. Hey man, what else are we supposed to say? I can tell you this, if your new coach loses his 1st game as HC this year, I know one Bruin fan who will be calling for his head...(you).
  15. I disagree, i think it's a excellent hire .
  16. You and everyone else will be thinking that about 10:30 pm on September 1st when "the streak" ends in your new coach's 1st game...
  17. Central's enrollment numbers were 1471 while West Brook turned in 2495. So yes you are right on the Bruins being a small 6A but wrong on the Jags being a big 5A.
  18. Nelson has been named the Interim Head Coach. I don't know when the final decision will be made.
  19. I didn't want to say it but you are absolutely correct. He had 2 good years off of a disciplined team that Stowers had built. So I do give Foreman credit for coming in after 2 loosing seasons and turning the ship around. Hopefully he can do the same at Shoemaker...
