Hey man, if you look at my original prediction that I put out in July/August, I predicted Vidor getting the 4th spot over Nederland. But now I don't know. I really want Nederland to get in along with Memorial so we can go D2 for a change. I don't know how Harvey affected the Pirates team and if they lost any key components and if everyone will be back for their 1st game which is against us on the 27th. Buy the way, we have a new DC that knows how to play the Slot T and an new OC that knows how to use his talent and isn't afraid to let it rip. It won't even be close...

It won't be because of coaching or should I say a lack of this year. This group of Seniors has a lot of built up frustration to release. Days before the West Brook game, Bruin players were at a Central practice outside the gate with lawn chairs and music playing. Coach Nelson and staff kept the boys focused during practice and they were expecting to be able to release that energy against the Bruins. Well Harvey had other plans. Well Pasadena Rayburn got some of it last week, so much so that I heard their Baylor commit RB wants to leave that school. Just what I heard, don't know how true it is. Now I know the Titans are a different caliber team but the one thing Central has going for them, is there is no film of whats going on at 88 Jaguar Dr. So Harvey did help in that manner. Totally different on both side of the ball from the last 4 years. Despite it being on a Wednesday, this should be game of the week...

JV game Central @ Memorial @ 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 14th. Varsity game 6 days later. I wonder is this how all the subvarsity games for 22-5A will be until we get back on our Friday varsity games...

I agree with you 100%. This is one of the reasons that coaches in the past have used BISD as a stepping stone for their coaching career. We've lost some good ones because of this. The only thing about the 3 current coaches we have is that they are all from the Golden Triangle (2 Beaumont, 1 Bridge City) so they may not have no interest in leaving. That may be the only reason they don't try to jump ship. I do feel like they should get some kind of increase every year or couple of years and on performance. They shouldn't all be getting paid the same thing. And they should at least start at $95,000.

Well WOSgrad, while we are talking about the DEC schedule that was released, I have one that maybe you can get clarified. I seen originally that Central is supposed to be at Vidor on Tuesday, September 26th but then I started seeing that it had been moved to Wednesday, the 27th. See what you can find out...

Ok, I wasn't going to post anything because of the opponent that we scrimmaged but... In the controlled scrimmage, the Jaguars scored 10 TD's and the Texans scored 2. The Texans didn't even score until they went into goal line situational plays getting the ball at the 7 yard line. They played 1 game like quarter with it being 20-0 in favor of the Jaguars. The Texans have a Baylor commit in RB Stanley Hackett. I'd be hard pressed to say he had 40 yards on the night. I'm expecting a hell of a game between the Titans and the Jaguars. This ain't the Jaguar offense from the last 2 years ...
