I'm trying to get a confirmation from one of the coaches but I doubt that any school in BISD will play this week since they are not back in school.

I agree with your statement. West Brook vs Central, ok that's cool. Central vs Ozen, ok. But West Brook vs Ozen, how does that game benefit the Bruins. I agree with you, it doesn't. I heard on the last round, one of the games almost got dropped (don't recall which one) due to the late add of Livingston to 22-5A but former AD Saveat wasn't having any of that. Maybe new AD Jackson will consider during th next realignment and making of schedules.

I kind of figure that 22-5A will start playing football when district starts at the earliest. Most of the schools in 22-5A are scheduled to play schools in the Houston area. With Central's week 2 opponent being Katy Tompkins, in Katy, I doubt that's going to happen. I doubt BISD starts school on the 5th, more like the 11th in my opinion...

For this reason, hope you are wrong. I know both sets of coaches, players and true fans want this one to happen. Neither team has an advantage of practice time, they both started on August 14th. Neither team has had a scrimmage, they were both cancelled. Channel 12 news said we only have a 20% chance of rain Friday. Let's play it...

If the West Brook and Central game is cancelled, it won't be made up. The 2 schools have a bye week but it's during different weeks. I agree, if Central misses out on this game, I'd hope the coaches would at least try to pull off a game the week of September 29th to give the boys 10 games. Just some possible week 6 opponents The Woodlands (no thanks), Crosby (my pick), Cleveland, Huffman-Hargrave, LC-M, Navasota, etc. plus a lot of schools around Houston.

Ok, might as well get it started. The streak is currently at 14 years. Neither team was able to scrimmage an opponent. From what I'm hearing, the JV and Freshman games have already been cancelled. 2 new head coaches. Who gets the "W"?

Being that the worst of the rain is not forcasted to come through until Wednesday in the Golden Triangle, I wonder how many JV/Freshman games will be cancelled next week. Depending on how fast this storm gets the hell out of here, I bet there will be a lot of non-district games in jeopardy for next Friday.

I wouldn't have even done JV/Freshman. I would have gotten my Varsity on the field so that they can get some contact before next weekend.

In my opinion, it'll be another rough year for the Panthers. Next year after the realignment, they should drop. As long as they do, they'll be on a more competitive playing field with the likes of Bridge City, Huffman-Hargrave, Lumberton, LC-M, Silsbee, etc. I think next year is when they will break out. Taylor should be given at least 4 years regardless of his record over the 1st 2. He landed in a bad situation.
