  1. That sounds good to me! We will take care of our business, never fear! lol
  2. Hey Joharr73. This is pinelandflash. Who do you have playing? Good luck in the playoffs. The game you all played us (WS) was probably the most physical one we had all year. Will you all be in H-D on our side for one week? lol
  3. I agree wssgrad! Let's gear up for THIS YEAR'S playoffs! Startin Friday at H-D!!!
  4. Lets hope that re-alignment does something for this district. Looks like it will.
  5. A tough non-district schedule is often the culprit behind the sub-.500 teams making the playoffs. I remember a couple years ago West Sabine lost 7 out of their first 8 games, but won their last 2 district games to sneak in at 3-7. We got 3 rounds deep that year before bowing out at 5-8 overall. However, the concept of a 1-9 team making the playoffs does border on the absurd IMO.
  6. You got that right. As it stands now if we beat H-D next week we would have a re-match with Moody in bi-district the following week, and maybe Garrison the next. They have cut down their ppg to roughly 28 in district. Doesn't sound all that great until you consider we were giving up roughly 44 ppg in non-district. Yes Lacey is a Jr. this year and you are right he could be scary good next year. I compared his stats this year with those of Reginald Davis, the Tenaha phenom(Texas Tech commit , I believe), and they were frighteningly comparable( Davis averages more per carry but Lacey has 300 more passing yards, so it evens out IMO). I know you have to look at the respective competition, but it is something to consider.
  7. This is what we as football fans live for: two teams (West Sabine:3-6, 2-1 district 11-1A: Hull-Daisetta: 4-5, 1-2 district 11-1A) fighting for one spot in the dance.  Who do you have winning and why?
  8. I don't. I wasn't the one who posed the question. Just giving you the stats I have. From his performance in the 1st half of the game he played against West Sabine, I agree he is a top flite QB. I could tell he had complete control of his team and was able to go through his progressions in the passing game before he tucked it and ran. I see the same ability in Lacey as well. They are both "pass first, run second" QB's. You could build a team around either one of them in my opinion. Both are extremely talented. Was a shame to see Therwanger's season cut short with the fibula injury.
  9. Any update on Lovelady/H-D? A question: if H-D wins, coupled with the WH win tonight, does that clinch a playoff spot for West Sabine?
  10. Just a question: If both H-D and WH win tonight does that clinch a playoff spot for West Sabine?
  11. Just out of curiousity, if both WH and H-D win tonight does West Sabine clinch a playoff berth?
  12. Haven't got Therwanger's stats but here are Lacey's: Passing 72/148/1309yds. 13TD 6INT Rushing 136/857yds. 11TD 6.3 yards per carry 1 punt return TD Defense 3 INT's, 125 yds.
  13. West Sabine- Tubthumping by ChumbaWumba Don't Stop Believin'-Journey Get In Tha Ring- Guns 'N' Roses
  14. Okay. Just figured Denson hadn't had the starting reps that Therwanger had that week and his arm might've been rusty.
  15. Okay. Thanks for the breakdown. In case of a 3-way tie would they go on best record, matchups, or points? We played Moody last year in the first round as well.
  16. They were a different team in the second half against us after losing Therwanger. They attempted just 1 pass in the 2nd half. However, that being said that #28(Sherman) was a beast both running and recieving (11/127/3TD rushing, 4/100/TD recieving). Think they will still win big over H-D. #55 is a full grown MAN too. Sad to hear Therwanger's season's over, cause he was a talented QB.
  17. So, if H-D loses to Lovelady Friday and you guys beat Colmesneil all the playoff teams will be set? Be just a matter of playoff seeding next week?
  18. Anyone in 1A Wolverine, anyone in 1A. Yes, you all put it on us pretty good. We have bounced back though. Good luck against CC this week.
  19. I haven't seen West Hardin play but I've seen WS's offense up close and personal and they will be hard to stop for anyone. Will be a high scoring game.
  20. How did #28 (Sherman, I think)do? Lovelady has always been tough at their place. West Sabine went there last year 7-1 and left 7-2 after getting beat 41-13. This district is wide open. I know it's just a win over Colmesneil(for West Sabine, 63-20), but I got the sense that a sleeping giant was awakened in Pineland tonight, so I thought I'd put District 11 on notice!
  21. Yes, that is true. But 9 HR for a freshman is still pretty impressive, don't you think? And just because they don't play anybody down here doesn't mean he won't get some D1 looks. Hemphill had another player who attended LSU and played in the NFL for several years with the Bengals and Falcons. Know the guy personally whenever he comes in where I work we talk sports. He's currently a coach at LSU. So it can be done, but being from a small town does stack the deck against ANYONE, no matter how talented.
  22. I agree. Football is his 2nd sport and we see how he's doing! He hit 9 HR last year as a freshman. Could be a true five tool baseball player. He's got D1 talent in baseball right now in my opinion and will more than likely have the same in football by his senior year, barring injury. I'm going on and on about him and I attended his rival school, West Sabine!!!!!!!!LOL
  23. When the referees are more concerned with admonishing the BAND IN THE STANDS than calling the game on the field! Then they actually asked an opposing player "Do you have the ball?" after stripping our player as he's on his back! What did he THINK the guy was going to say? How many out there have seen THAT at a game?
