  1. To CATMAN: Bitterness will get you nowhere in life. If jealousy's color is green, bitterness must be magenta or burnt siena. I don't know the particulars of the situation, but whatever happened was in the past, and living there is just plain sad!
  2. West Sabine came in at #35 in the Maxpreps poll.
  3. Has the West Sabine/Brookeland game been moved to Brookeland? The schedule I have has it at Pineland.
  4. I see that West Sabine is steadily climbing the Dirty Dozen poll! Still at #23 in the TABC poll for the 2nd consecutive week!
  5. These kids are all so physically gifted these days , so they can play just about every position on the floor from the point to the paint. The true point guard (assist first, score second) has gone the way of the mid-range jumper. That being said, does anyone have any suggestions for the best PG in the East Texas region?
  6. Tell em like it is bucketsitr! Tell em like it is! The only thing they'll be buyin will be crying towels Tuesday night.........
  7. Wow! Looks like I've struck a nerve! Didn't mean to start anything, just writing about what I have observed.
  8. Yes, I agree that kids can let rankings go to their heads. Especially so in small towns like Pineland and Kountze. I have a feeling that it won't happen in Pineland this year however, because I think we got something special in the works!
  9. West Sabine rolled over Cushing Tuesday night 82-38. Shot 53% from the field for the game.
  10. West Sabine rolled over Cushing tonight 82-38. Lit it up from the land of trifecta going 10/23! Shot 53% from the field overall (29/55) and wen 12/21 from the charity stripe. Rickel Thomas paced the Tigers with 18 points on 7/12 shooting (4/8 3pt. fg), followed closely by Bell with 13 points on 5/9 shooting (3/5 3pt. fg). Devonte Thomas added 10 points on 4/4 shooting (2/2 3pt. fg), while Brandon Weatherspoon pitched in 8 points on 2/5 shooting (0/1 3pt. fg) and Chris Williams chipped in 7 points on 3/6 shooting. Next game is District opener against Brookeland Jan.18 at Pineland.
  11. Thanks. I knew they would be ranked eventually. Their team chemistry on the court is unbelievable.
  12. Thanks! All I needed to know! Should be a walk if West Sabine plays like they are capable of. They got a beast on the interior in Chris Williams. 6"2 or 3', 230 lbs. I think. He's a load for anyone to handle on the low block. Each time I watched them he has gotten a double/double.
  13. Why isn't West Sabine ranked in 1A Division I? Their only losses have came to 2,3, and 5A schools (Lufkin's JV and Kennedale in 3A, just to name two off the top of my head)and haven't lost to a 1A school yet! If they stay healthy they will make some noise in the playoffs! Their front line and depth I feel is right there with any 1A school in the state.
  14. Is the West Sabine/Cushing game in Pineland now? One schedule had it at Cushing. Just need a little clarification! Thanks!
  15. I see that West Sabine is slowly yet surely climbing up the "Dirty Dozen" poll. Maybe the TABC polls will show them some love and rank them this week!
