Haven't seen H-D play so I can't make a prediction. If WS gets their up tempo game going I like their chances though...........

I've got a feeling this season could be special down here in Pineland. Think he is the right guy to get the Tiger program rolling in the right direction. I too have heard nothing but good things sbout him from the parents I have talked to.Got to meet him during football season and my first impression of him was that of a man who ate, slept, and breathed baseball, and WS hasn't had that in awhile..........

Is this list all-time best or current? Don't know much about the current coaches but any all-time list would be incomplete without Jack Whitton. Won two titles at West Sabine in the 60's. Look up his stats.

Neither side shot the ball well at all last night.

[/quote] I don't disagree with this statement...I'll just add this too it.  SA has 10 guys that can play and rotate in...West Sabine does it with 6.  Getting into a track meet isn't going to be their best bet.  WS is going to have to slow it down or they will just get worn out while SA is sending in fresh legs.  CATMAN...Pineywoods is a private school in Lufkin...Awful at basketball. @tigerheart------yes depth could be an issue, especially if they get into foul trouble. If they avoid that I see a high scoring game. Should be exciting either way. Hard to get pics for the paper though! Whoever hits their outside shots consistently will take this one. Broaddus did have a slight advantage early on the boards but it evened out as the game progressed. If the Tigers start raining threes, both teams could end up with 80+ points. A potential barnburner in the works in P-land Tuesday night...........

These 2 teams are nearly mirror images of each other, with both wanting to run and gun as many times as they can. Too close to call so no prediction. WS will have their hands full Tuesday, but so will SA. Should be an exciting game. As with the Broaddus game last week, whoever hits their outside shots and free throws consistently will prevail. With 3 ranked teams District 23 (SA #8, WS #23, Broaddus #24)IMO is one of if not the toughest 1A districts in the state(at the top end anyway) and all three teams out here will be hard outs in the playoffs.........

West Sabine finally cracks the state poll at #23, setting up a marquee matchup tomorrow night against the #8 ranked San Augustine Wolves in Pineland. The two teams play similar styles, so it should be a run 'n' gun type game.

Depth will be a concern for WS, but they are so well conditioned all they need to do is stay out of foul trouble. IMO WS has the best starting 5 in the district, while SA has the deepest roster. Should be a fun game between (again) 2 VERY talented squads. I say WS in a close one again.........

It will all come down to who hits their outside shots and who plays smart & stays out of foul trouble.Going to be a fantastic game between two perennial district powers. I say WS in a close one

Congrats to Alto on a hard-fought win. H-D seems to be headed in the right direction. To H-D: you have nothing to hang your heads over. Played a monster of a team and stood toe-to-toe with em. Congrats to you on a great season!
