This has been a great rivalry year in year out. In this district it always seems to come down to Big Sandy/Evadale. I'd put it up there with WS/Colmesneil on the rivalry scale.

I haven't seen WS play yet this season but they only lost 3 off last years team that went three rounds deep in the playoffs and they are loaded on the mound once again with at least 4 or 5 kids that can pitch and pitch well...

Yes Woodville always seems to have a solid crew on the diamond. But once WS gets the four players that are still in basketball season(Demarie Smith, Blake Ponder, Dillon Sepulvado and CJ Williams) I look for them to make some noise as well.....

Zavalla is in West Sabine's district and we always could expect one thing when we played them: hard-nosed, in-your-face defense, cat quick guard play and tenacity in spades. Her 500th win was against WS at Zavalla in 2013. I was there that night covering the game for the Sabine County Reporter. Congratulations Coach West on a fantastic career…….
