Good idea. The school coaching staffs have been beloated for to long. Cuts should be in every area. Can't spend anymore than we take in. Taxes are two high.

You do realize that all of these coaches are teachers as well? They didn't simply relieve them of their coaching duties and stipend, they eliminated teachers. and no, cuts are not everywhere. I have not heard of one school reducing amin. payrolls.

The school board election is where change needs to be made, most people haven't figured that out. As far a people being in positions because of other things other than ability, well that has been going on with the program for a while. To much putting on friends and family and passing over people who are probably more qualified, so don't assume by what your hearing that, these people you are referring to are only being put in these positions because of anything other than ability. It's giving these people the opportunities that they were constantly being passed over for. As I stated, I love coach Thompson. I don't want my comments to leave people thinking I have anything against him. I think he is a great coach, but as I stated there are some things that the new coach needs to be willing to do in order to bring this school and program to the next level. There are alot of good candidates and we want a great coach, but we also want someone who is going to care about every sport, every kid and give every kid the opportunity to succeed on and off the field. Kids don't need to be ran off from the school because they don't fit the stereotype of what a mustang player should look like. Every kid should get the opportunity to shine on the team , not just the player that you looked at when they were in the seventh grade and you decided, this is going to be my starter in high school...make them earn it, because this kid might not have gotten any better since, but the one you overlooked back then might have, but you will never notice because you are too busy having this picture of what this kid is going to be in your head that you can't see the superstar on the sidelines. This isn't directed at coach T, but there have been  some of that going on.

By the way, I'm a female.

Are you talking about discipline or something else? Because if it's discipline, I have no problem with demanding discipline or exclusion.

If Coach T isnt named the HC things will turn upside down in West Orange
If Coach T or Toby is NOT named the School would be 2A within 2 years and 1A in 4 years, write it down.
I wrote it down! ;D

I am pretty sure one of them will get it.

If so this Super has let things get stirred up that didn't need to be stirred up and is obviously dividing the community.
  4. I'll put it this way, I am sure defenses payed more attention to Kemba's teamates than Jimmer's. I believe that their balances to the pros & cons on both sides, but I think they got the right one, and his team won't be on probation next year. Not that Kemba was involved in any of that, but it may have swayed the voters.

I should take your word for it? ;) I don't care if A&M has better athletes as long as they keep winning. As Horn fans have told A&M fans for years this is a rivalry game so anyone can win or keep it close. :D  But the truth is on the field 9-3 and 5-7. I just believe UT has bigger problems than changing coaches, and it didn't look a lot better this spring. UT won't be down long but you guys act like everything is OK and an easy fix.

I see last years as an anomaly and the previous 10 a trend, but one thing is right the proof will be on the field.
  6. and yet if Gilbert could take a snap or make a handoff Texas still beats A&M. If you improve the most important position on the field, everything else will fall in place. The turnover ratio is what killed Texas the most last year. You had an OC that was saved by VY and then Colt and all of a sudden he didn't have a QB that could bail him out, and yet refused to change schemes. Jamal Charles would have really went off if he had been the I-Back in an ISO set, instead of having to come to the line of scrimmage, stop, wait for the read, and take off again. The OC should have been let go along time ago. If you really think A&M has better athletes keep drinking the kool-aid, reverend Jones will be by any minute.  ;)

The way I look at is hey I knew we were going to suck going into the season. Im a Astros fan and use to being disappointed every year weather they win only 70 games or make it to the world series. Im not embarassed by it either
I agree but I have never felt this bad going into a season. Do I expect them to be in the playoffs every year, no? I do expect that they try to be competitive, and this year they made no moves to get better. I understand Drayton is selling the team, but it is still disappointing. I am not a Drayton basher either, because for the most part he has tried some moves that didn't work out as they should have. I am old enough to remember when McMullen owned the team, now that was a bad owner, still hate New Jersey to this day. Never forgive them for not extending Nolan's contract. I was there when Scott pitched the no-hitter and I can tell you the city went wild. So with a reason to cheer the city will.

With that being said I am still an Astro's fan and always will be. Now let me get back to the roster so I can figure out who some of these guys are.
  8. No apology necessary. It was a good question that sparked some good comments about 10U. As in too many of these threads, some misguided individuals took it as an opportunity to take shots at other teams. It doesn't really matter who the best is, it does matter that people are taking their time to help the young girls in our area become better players, and hopefully better people as well. It's not where you start, It's where you finish. I remember a young lady who once barely even  made a young 10U team and ended up hitting the game winning run in a State Championship game. So get started and keep working hard.
