Kountze started 0-5 last year and won out and made playoffs for the second year in a row after going 40 years without making the playoffs. We played the same schedule this year and we are 0-5... ask the same question in 6 weeks.

The select football season is here! Last year our 14U team was very successful and everything went very smooth!  
I will be hosting a tryout soon for all kids ages 10-14 (age as of August 1st, 2015). So far I have kids from;
Vidor, Port Neches, Beaumont, Groves, Lumberton, Silsbee, Kountze, Woodville, East Chambers, HJ, Jasper, LCM, Newton, WOS, Port Arthur, Bridge City, Kirbyville, Nederland, and Orangefield. 
This is a awesome opportunity for kids to be apart of a special team full of athletes. THERE IS NO WEIGHT LIMIT AND ANYONE CAN PLAY ANY POSITION ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE!!  The kids love this!! We will practice once a week on Sunday afternoons in the Beaumont area. The cost is very affordable. All we ask is for the parents to cover the cost of the jersey! Also, if we do not have enough funds from fundraising, then we will split the tournament fees equally per player. Which means if the tournament costs $400 and we have 40 kids...Each will pay $10.  We will travel to the Houston, Lafayette, San Marcus area throughout the 2 month season. 3-5 tournaments. I will work around other sports as well. I really want every player to have a chance to play in this organization. I have over 15 coaches already signed up to help within the organization. Still looking for more coaches and players so please get with me if you have a son that is above average, or if you know of any kids that deserve to be on this team to represent our area!

The smack talk is down big time.. I am usually the one starting it but this is my first year with no smack talk! I was hired in Kountze coaching middle school sports lol But I have been keeping up with the scores! I am putting together one heck of a select team of all the talent in the STJFL and Lonestar league! It is looking GREAT!!!

Mccain and Grubbs are the only 2 for sure starters... next 3 would be tough... Bruce, trajan, Devon McCain, Mackey, Barnes, Thomas, and Adams. Either way it will be two stacked groups with a good 3rd group as well.

What in the world is a "average" AAU Coach? A lot of you guys on here who are against AAU ball need to realize what these summer coaches do. I'm curious how many of these great High school coaches would coach for free if it wasn't for a paycheck... Wonder how many of them would spend multiple nights a week and multiple weekend away from their family in the gym and at tournaments spending their own money on these kids. I just lost respect for a couple of people on here and that's a shame.

Anyways... What determines a bad AAU coach, average AAU coach, and great AAU coach???

What makes high school coaches poor, average, or great???? To me it would be the number of scholarships their players get(hmmmm)... How many state championships they have(hmmmm). A lot of these high school coaches rely on talent to make them look good.

Stop downing people like me who spends a lot of time giving these young men something positive to look forward to after each season without making a penny.

Yes Yall did. Was a great game until the last 10 minutes. My boys gave up. Won't happen again. But if it does, it's ok. I'm in it for each kid getting better. And I'm a positive role model for the kids. It's not about who is the better "coach" with me. I swallow my pride and do what's best for the kids. I'm just a normal guy giving them a positive place to play. If it was about winning, I would go after everyone's best players and buy them stuff and not make them pay fee's just to have the best team. :)
