Buddy, I met him his first week on the job. I told my Son he wouldn't get the ball & that's exactly what happened. Many that bought his Bull were saying give him a chance. I questioned his motives & plan from day 1. My 9-10 yr old basketball team worked out harder & execute more than his Teams. This guy & his whole program was a Sham

Now this clown is their character witness? Wow! SMDH...

How about: 13 choir members (BISD)advancing to STATE Solo and Ensemble in May!
 
Lots of (OTHER) good things going on in BISD.

Ozen has and will be receiving more kids who are interested in playing college ball the next few years! I've personally coached several of these kids who can actually play but needs continued development. I have a Freshman & Sophomore who start for the varsity and one more coming in next year and they have me to help work on their skill levels but putting together good practice plans and watching for small things in a kids game to help them become better has to happen daily. Tight games or won by strategy and execution, and execution comes from repetitiveness practice the proper way! Ozen's varsity has speed, and maybe only 3 guys who can't run well, and putting the ball in play and stealing bases go hand and hand with speed. I just hope we get things together so that all of these kids can reach their full potential.   :wacko:

I do not know what happened with Coach Atkins in the past.  However, some people on here are saying he must be innocent for this or that reason(certificate reinstated, charges dropped, etc.).  I have seen this happen before where the person charged just kept getting trial delayed and they finally gave up.  I have also seen teachers have relationships where they were allowed to resign so they could brush it under the table.  Only Coach Atkins, the girl and God know the complete truth.

People talk bad adout Jesus Christ and won't follow him, therefore you know we all are subject to ridicule. Accusations don't mean guilty. If someone's child accuse you of rape tomorrow and you know you were innocent, how would you want society to view or treat you? If you don't wear the shoes, you never know how they feel! IJS

I havent heard pleasant things about this guy the past 24-36 hours from folks I personally know from the north-side of Houston. Very strange seeing as he was winning at NF.

Ok, after a little research, the guy was a two way Div 1 All-State player at QB & DB leading his team to a State Championship! Played at Iowa and was an All-Big 10 Selection at DB and played professionally at 49er's! He runs Spread, Empty, I-Formation with Double Tight Ends, Pro-set, and even let's his fullbacks carry the ball. He spreads the ball around and even though he may have been in a week district, he did what he was supposed to do and that's "Win!" BISD may have gotten something right this time!

My point is, is that to utilize the talent Ozen has, you can't be one dimensional or generic as to where the other teams defense can easily line up against you and easily prepare for a set offense to defend! Magee stayed in the shotgun against PNG throwing the ball and stopping the clock instead of running the clock down from under center when we were leading. PNG could not stop our power I formation and we even threw from it to a wide open receiver in the endzone who dropped the ball. The ball was snapped in the shotgun position 20 yards back towards the other teams goal line while the QB was calling signals. We should never be one dimensional and always be able to get under center with a fullback package with tight ends to ball control at times! That game should have easily been won!
 
As for me being in my feelings, I would agree simply because you tried to insult my intelligence in an area where I excel in. I simply believe in giving the coach that is hired the benefit of the doubt 1st before coming to a final conclusion. I will have 3 Dogs in the hunt at Ozen as well as several other players who I have personally coached and definitely want them to get the right coach at the helm, so if you think I won't have personal feelings about this issue, you are wrong!  
 
One last thing, I don't smoke, but do eat sandwhiches from time to time! I'm Old Skool! Lol

I don't care if you coach pop warner, junior high or high school, you still need to be able to put players in their right positions and have an offense and defense that can stop the other team! Yes, I admit that I gave PS3 Magee the benefit of the doubt because that is how I was raised to think positive 1st, but several of you were right about him even though it was hard for me to understand his 8 & 22 record for him to be hired!
 
I do know one thing about sports and that if you have experienced winning on several levels then you should have learned something along the way, unless you are an idiot! I've watched film on North Forest when Atkins was there and I was impressed with the multiple formations that he ran on offense. His defense was aggressive and he excelled in H.S., College & NFL as a player, damn does this speak for anything? Some of you can't be Haters all your life, support the new hire and if he is "Pooh Cheese" then 2 bad hires in a row means whoever does the hiring doesn't know what they're doing, bottom line.

Nothing wrong for one to root for their school, each one of these schools have lots of talent and if any of them are like Ozen, they have more talent on their campus not running than on the track! SMH
