Congrats EC. On a bright note for Woodville, they played much better tonight. EC caught a break when the lineman picked up the offensive fumble and ran it in. This game was alot closer than the scoreboard displayed and alot closer than alot of people thought it would be. I think Woodville's headed in the right direction.

Diboll has a running back commited to a major D-1 school and a stout offensive line. CC shocked me against Woodville. Theyre way up from last year. Neither Woodville or Diboll are by any means WEAK TEAMS. Both are good teams. Both need work. CC has stepped up and played outstanding football the past two weeks. I dont think either had 200 though. Buna always has a physical run defense. Big, strong, corn-fed boys. I think theyll be better this year. But thats just judging from the Orangefield game. Which you can never tell with games like that. That rivalry is a whole different ball game.

Corrigan surprised me alot with this one. The Eagles had a bad game and CC had a good one. Corrigans looking good this year. Improved from last year. Woodville is better than last year. But 5 turnovers and numerous dumb penalties doesnt win a football game. Im confident that Coach Fentress is a good enough coach to get them back on track by the time next friday comes around though. Theyll be fine.

Corrigan is looking good this year, as always. They looked pretty good in both their scrimmages and return several starters from last year's district champions. Woodville also looked great in both scrimmages, defeating New Waverly 2-0 and Diboll 4-1. They return several starters from last year, including the whole starting offensive line, one of the regions best linebacking corps, and one of the regions most dynamic players in Domonique Lockhart. Woodville won last years matchup, 7-6. I give them this one as well, 28-13.

[/quote] Fastest guy in the district. But yes, Woodville looked good in this one. Lockhart had a 70 yard touchdown run and Weatherford threw a 70 yard touchdown pass to Fentress. And Daniels and Harrison each scored once. Diboll's runningback was good, but Woodville did a good job at containing him most of the night, with the exception of the 90 yard run. The linebacking corp for Woodville looked pretty stout.

What information are you baseing your statements on? Russ Sutherland looks like a great hire for EC. I fully support! [/quote] Im talking about the people that have told me that losing tony valastro is not much of a loss at all. Sutherland is a great coach. No doubt. I didnt say anything about his credibility as a coach. Its just a little nieve to think that losing a coach like Valastro is not a significant loss. Russ Sutherland is a great coach and will do fine at EC. But, just like with any coaching change at any highschool in the nation, it will take a lot of adjusting.

Though i do agree that some of the district picks are terrible. I dont think Vidor will be last in 20-4A, and after looking at 21-5A, id give Memorial at least third. Id also swap Livingston and Bmnt Central in 20-4A. I think kville will win 18-3A again. I believe Cleveland will pull out a third spot in 22-3A. So overall i think they were decent predictions.
