1. I know this isn't much of a measuring stick, but #11 for Woodville hiwed me alot tonight. He had well over 150 yds and two 50+ yd touchdown runs. He runs hard and has more speed than I thought.
 2. Woodville(2-3) coming off a convincing win over the Warren Warriors, 54-0. Newton(3-2) coming off a loss to the Winnie East Chambers Buccaneers, 39-34. Newton has alot of fire power this year and a pretty stout defense. Woodvilles offense is starting to come around and with a defense that allowed only 14 true offensive points to a stout EC team. The difference in this game will be whether Newton comes to play or not. If they do: Woodville 21 Newton 31 If they dont: Woodville 35 Newton 28
 3. Yeah it was pretty bad. There were several Warren players that did stuff like that throughout the game. Until about the fourth quarter when Woodville put the nail in the coffin. Wville did theyre fighting between the whistles. Hence, 54-0 final. lol

(please post if confirmed, no guessing or wishing) Silsbee YMBL/BISD Tourney Nederland Tourney James Gamble Tourney
Aww no Wooville tourney? haha good.
How many teams are in the Woodville tourney this year?
I have no idea. I havent had a look at the schedule yet.
 5. It was. The warren player started it with a cheap shot after the  play. The Woodville player shoved him and #89 from warren started throwing punches and ripped off the Woodville player's helmet. Another warren player shoved a woodville player and he retaliated and that escalated into another fight. Players ran over from both sidelines. Id say about 15 players from each team were involved. It lasted about 10 minutes. 3 personal fouls and #89 was ejected from Warren was ejected. There were constant cheap shots throughout the game. The fight was uncalled for and im sure there are things being done in both programs to prevent something like this from happening in the future.
 6.
I do not think newton is overated. They have a very talented team. I might say that EC was a bit underated.
Very well put.
 7. This s an extremely togh 2A district. Five playoff contenders. Each of which have the ability to win this district. I think next week will be a tell-tell week. It'll provide a little better of an outlook on this district.
 8. No. You just aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to football in this district. You forgot two of the teams. And Woodville has no suspended players. Idk where you got that crazy stuff from. And having a NICE feild is a negative?? I don't think so.
 9.
I think overall The District is down : Anahuac - Lot of injuries Newton - New Coach East Chambers - New Coach Woodville - Players suspended Warren - 0-10 Hardin - Nice Field
What are you talking about?? lol and wheres Buna and Kountze?? And since when is a having a nice field being down??
 10.
Newton is not very good !
Quite possibly one of the most naive statements ive heard all year. From anyone. Not just this site. Almost up there with the guy that told me, with a straight face, that Warren would beat Woodville by three touchdowns.
 11.

Well if Anahuacs offense is as good as you say, it sounds like it could be a shootout.
We play Buna next week that should be a good measuring stick.
Eh they didnt show me much against Hardin in the first half. If you get after them early and get up big early, theyll roll over. But if you let them stay close, it will be a good game.
 12. They ran three different plays from what i saw. Just out-played them. Ran faster and more physically, blocked harder and more dominatingly, and the defense stuffed the run and shut down the pass. If this game is broken down to percentages id say Woodville 97% Warren 2%. Remaining percent to the guy who started the fight in the first quarter and fired up the Woodville Eagles.
 13. Well if Anahuacs offense is as good as you say, it sounds like it could be a shootout.
 14. First quarter got pretty heated. These two teams did not like each other tonight. But Woodville dominated. As expected.
 15. I just dont see anyone in this district running all over Woodville's run defense. They'll have to pass the ball. Hopefully they can. We'll see. Theyre both good teams. Should be a good game.
 16. You mean Justin Albrittons backup? Or is he back? Cuz I guarantee he isn't better than Glenn Roberts, who wville held under 100 yds and 0 TDs.
 17. Yes they are. We'll see how good anahuac really is whenever they play one of these other contenders.
 18. East Chambers, Woodville, and Newton are all good teams. I think Newton is as good as people expect when they get it all together. Woodvilles defense is one of and possibly the best defense in this district. That's why EC only scored 21 against them. Which really should've been 14 if it wasn't for their lucky fumble recovery.
 19. Actually, theyre both decent basketball players for Hemphill. Great athletes, just not much basketball skill. And track, from what i hear, soph twine dominates the track in his events.
 20. Traylon Shead also played for Cayuga, one of the best 1A football teams ive ever seen play, and won a state championship, and was named first team all-state. Sooo theres no comparison yet. And he didnt lead the district in homeruns. Hunter Hayley out of Nac. Central-Heights had 17.

 22.
I take woodville in this one all the way. warren hasn't won a game in like 3 or 4 years, someone tell me if im wrong. lol but just because woodville lost to ec doesn't mean ec will have a chance at those eagles this week!! Newton rolls through district with no one close behind :)
I think they won one the year before last. But itsbeen 34 years since theyve beaten Woodville :) lol
 23. Warren(0-4) coming off a blowout loss to districtpower Anahuac, 43-13. Woodville(1-3) coming off a loss to the always tough Buccaneers of East Chambers. Both trying to avenge a loss in the previous week in this always hard-fought rivalry. The Tyler County Bowl. I think Woodville takes it in a route. Woodville 48 Warren 13
 24. Yes, theyre really good. No, I dont think either of them will have any opportunity to play at a D-1 school. Much less any one of them in the country. Hemphill doesnt play against D1 level talent and they wont advance far enough in the playoffs to see any of it. In baseball, soph Twine is great for his age. Does he D1 talent now?? Oh no. Nowhere close. He has a low 80's fastball and a breaking ball that is not very consistent from what i saw. But, i do believe he is one of the better shortstops in the area and definitly has the potential to develop into a d1 baseball player. But football, no. But no doubt he is great.
 25.

I didn't want to bring up the refs, but since you did... that alleged safety was a joke. Our RB plowed into the line at about the 5, and came to a full "forward progress" stop. Then, the WV defense drove him back into the endzone where someone pulled the ball loose for a "safety".  ::)  That was just an unbelievable call.
We have noticed the bad calls and especially the late whistles too. It is getting kids injured.
Exactly. The refs blew late whistles all night which benefitted each team at some point. The refs called a good game other than that. I think Woodville surprised alot of people with the way they played in this game. Minus the break on the fumble, its a 14-9 game. This was a closer game than the scoreboard indicated.
