This game was much more competitive than the score implies. Woodville led by 6 with about 3 minutes left in the 3rd.
Since you saw both games, who do you think is better, Silsbee or WOS?
Silsbee. Definitely. WOS was good and athletic. But when it comes down to just knowing the game and being students of the game, Silsbee is miles ahead of WOS. In a game, its close the first 2 quarters, but Silsbee puts up 80 and wins by 30 or 40.

You honestly think one of the most prestigious college programs in the nation is going to offer a scholarship to a player and guess on his height and weight? No. The number listed in the recruiting database are usual spot on. Unless there is a drastic change between the time they took his weight and now. Which couldnt be that big of a change. Considering he commited on October 31.
The number listed in the database are usually spot on? Really? 3 different databases- 2 different heights and three different weights.. Yup, that's spot on.
Well then let me rephrase. The UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS OFFICIAL RECRUITING DATABASE is usually spot on. And I tend to believe them more often than not. -
What Silsbee lacks in size they make up for in speed and quickness. This is easily the smallest team height wise (no player over '6"3, only two '6"2 or better) in the last several years but may be the fastest and quickest team that the Tigers have had in several years. Only two seniors on the squad (Gaines a starter, Turner a reserve), the rest juniors and soph. Silsbee will need to shoot the three ball much better and everyone will need to help out on the boards. Also look for Silsbee to get help from the transfer from Irving McArthur, who is now playing JV ball for Silsbee until he is ruled eligible to play varsity. This young man is very good and will bring definite help to the Tiger team. He is no JV player, that's for sure. ;) This will be a fun team to watch this year but could be subject to some trouble with a team that has size and can handle the rock. Time will tell.
Was he #20 on the JV?? The one who scored like 40? lol

Crockett handled Newton pretty easy and will probably run away with Tatum. I went to the Newton/Crockett and after seeing both teams play, it won't be close!!
What you think you know for fact is simply an opinion. Crockett is indeed for real but in my own opinion, they were better last year.
Tatum and Crockett are almost identical. Crockett is just a little better at all areas. Including their top athlete :) -

Mandatory Knee Braces
eagleswoodville#1 replied to the sports guy's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Playmaker braces (the ones that are completely metal on the sides) send the knee back inside and completely prevent inward and outward movement. Not completely eliminating the chances of a tear, but greatly decreasing the chances of it. ALL linemen should be required to wear them. Imo -
Agree eagleswoodville1, they have been known for some good baseball, just like Woodville. The coach was Sherriff Hennigens son, correct? Sherriff Hennigen passed away a few years back if Im right, but I heard alot of good things about him.
Yes. Neil Hennigan was Gary Hennigans son. Neil coached at Colmesneil and was very successful then came to Woodville and won a state title in 2005. -

Should be a good game. Both are down from last year but both are still very good teams. I believe that if Tatum comes out strong and Yoe doesnt come ready to fight, it will be a long night for the Yoemen. But it will be a good game if they show up to play. -

As for the moving the ball on your freshmen and sophomore players. Did you not see the first half? Wow. Have a little more respect than that. Y'all were a good football team.
