I believe Woodville will be a much better team. They'll have a more experienced line, one of the best 2A linebacking corps in the region, and good, dedicated coaching. I believe theyll be the surprise team in district 10-2A(D1).

Kountze lost their top player and didnt gain anyone. i dont agree with that. I think the top 4 is a toss up between 4 great teams. Kountze will be down from a team that was not very good last year. Itll be a good game with them and warren. Hardin will be down, but not enough to lose to kountze and especially warren. But the top 4 is a toss up between Anahuac, Woodville, Newton, and EC.

I really think the top 3 is up for grabs this year between Anahuac, Woodville, and Newton. Then Buna and East Chambers in 4th and 5th. Hardin in 6th. Then Kountze and Warren. Gonna be another great year in this district.

Woodville stand-out, Braeden Riley, who played for Woodville from 2004-2007 and was a valuable member of Woodville's state championship team in 2005, a three-time all state selection, and four year starter at sam houston, has signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization!! Congrats Braeden!!

Same here. Thats just what i was told. Thats not official by any means. I know warren took Wville into overtime in 06 or 07. Thats back when that kelly kid was playing quarterback for warren.

I was told Woodville has won 31 in a row. Not positive on that though. And yes, Warren did turn in higher enrollment, but I'm afraid the talent for Woodville is just now getting there. This junior class has an experienced line and a couple backs, te sophomore class provides two exceptional backs and a whole swarm of defense. Definitely looking forward to this ears game in old warrior stadium though ;)

Buna vs Evadale was a question mark for a reason. I have no idea who is playing who this upcoming year. Its mearly a "what if" thread. I named some of the rivalries that have been accumulated over the years. And kville/WOS became a rivalry when everyone on this site made a big deal about them playing each other.

That was definitely a tough one for me. Im a kville fan too and id love to see them do well. But i think WOS just has too much talent coming back.

How does the rivalry withstand the beatings Warren takes year after year from Woodville?? is it deeper than just football?? Is it simply that the two towns are close to each other??

My pick to win state. 3 or 4 better than average pitchers, 12 player that can ALL SMASH, great coaching, and great fan base.....will be very tough to stop. Should be a great game. Two quality teams. Woodville might have a slight home field advantage. Woodville wins and theres a 3-way tie for 2nd place. Hemphill wins and theyre automatically in. I give the slight edge to Woodville in a great game. Woodville 6 Hemphill 5
