1.
If Woodville pitches the same pitcher they started against BC last week then they shut down Kirbyville and run rule them in 5..
Hickman did not pitch. It was 16-2 in the fifth when I left. Woodville up.
 2. Both teams coming off a win and looking pretty good. I'm going with Woodville by 6. Thoughts? Woodville 11 Kirbyville 5
 3.
There are only 3 Players I can think of that have these God given Talents Hickman Twine and Guidry of BC. I know of more kids in the area that will be special in the future. But in my opinion these are the Top 3.
Agreed. The younger Franklin kid from Kountze will get to this point eventually too. When it comes to individual talent, this is the cream of the crop around SETX.
 4. Congrats on the win BC. But I was impressed by Woodville in this game. They showed alot of people what they're actually made of and showed them a little glimpse of how much potential they really do have.
 5.

Bridge City, Warren, and Barbers Hill...... Way to go Guys!!!!!!!! Way to make a showing for our area...
Big win for Kountze over Warren tonight
Yeah, that should shake the polls for Warren. WAY too many errors by both teams. But an exciting and competitive game nonetheless. Kountze impressed me at times, as did Warren. But both teams showed the area they need work in. Which is great considering district is here. Good job both teams. Very exciting game. Fans seemed to have alot of fun.
 6. Mid 4 Kountze 8 Warren 0
 7.
Duplant did not pitch against Woodville.
Oh okay. Well either way, much improved for the Eagles.
 8.
HJ Varsity defeats Woodville 9-5.  Goes undefeated in the Hardin Tournament.
Did Duplant pitch??
 9. I like Warrem in this one. Franklin is a great pitcher, but what I've experienced from seeing Warren play a few times is that the better the pitching, the more they step it up. If they can hit the ball, I give them the win by two or three at home. My guess is as good as yours, but: Warren 6 Kountze 4 It's close until the sixth.

Based on anything they want. Looks like basketball skill is one of the boys requirements  ::)

He's under-sized and not fast compared to college football players.
He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Mormon, for short! He wants to go on a mission before playing football! He hopes he can play for BYU once his mission is completed!
I respect that. But that fact would not keep teams from offering him a scholarship. and LH_Dave yes he did give teams fits. But how many of those kids are top defenders? Solid teams yes. But from talking to scouts his game doesn't translate to the next level. He is under-sized and while he is strong for high-schoolers in college there would be guys that would possibly knock him into next week. I wish a juco or Lamar would have given him a shot though
Yes it most definitely would. Lol if he told a scout that and was serious about it, you better believe that scout did not offer him anything. And word gets around through the grapevine when a kid does that. Very admirable though. I love to hear that.

But I definitely won't say Silsbee by 15+. Lol if Woodville plays well, it could be a close game. Silsbee 12 Woodville 6
You are confusing me - 12 to 6 is close?
I said IF they play well it COULD be a close game. The score was my prediction on how it will go. It COULD be closer if Woodville plays up to their potential.

HJ didn't look that that great but it was when Kountze scrimmaged them when i saw them
Well eagleswoodville#1, your earlier post didnt reflect any of these last comments, supposedly you didnt agree with HJ being mentioned as a top team in this tourney even after the so called injuries were mentioned. And utfan06, how did Kountze look when yall played us, the score was 1-1 after 4 and it was raining... HJ didnt look that good? Really? I thought Kountze looked great that night... Just my opinion. Woodville has how many kids on their Varsity roster? There were 13 in the dugout last night. Didnt look like "serveral" were out...
first off the soul of the woodville team there 3-4 hole hitters are both out and the other player can only hit because he tore something in his shoulder. Hickman is better than any player on the hj team and so is the indian kid
So HJ didn't win, Woodville just gave the game to them is what I'm reading.  Maybe you could've made that announcement for them before the game so everyone would know that Woodville was the better team, but because of injuries they would have a poor showing.  I guess whoever wins the Tournament will get an asterisk by their name: Winner* * Due to Woodville injuries
No that's not what you read. At all. Actually you read me simply lost the injuries. I even admitted that HJ played very well and Woodville played terribly. At no point did I say anything about how Woodville "gave the game to HJ". In fact, that's one of the most ill-conceived thing I think has been said on this thread. There's no doubt it would've been more competitive without the injuries. HJ has a much better team than I originally thought. I admitted that. Take it for what it's worth and stop trying to make what I said into something totally was not.
Did I take this "ill-conceived" statement in bold print out of context?  The sad thing is, you don't even know the "Indian" kid's name. :o smh  The thing is, it looks like I wasn't the only one on this forum that took it that way.  Just sayin' ;)
Please take a look at who posted that. It was not me. I'm not the one you need to take that up with lol

That's pathetic!!! HJ played a great game of baseball last night and I'll tell you a little secret.... HJ also has 2 of their best players injured Padgett and Cooley. Woodville may have a great team and had an off night last night. I really don't know. What I do know is the Hawks have had 6 straight victories and 5 of them were on run rules.
Easy there thickums..... This is a friendly forum...
Agreed. Calm down. Nobody is saying that at all.

I admit I was wrong about that. But you are mistaken. I'm not gonna sit there and name any names. But if you honestly looked in the dugout, you saw two sitting on the bench casually clothed. And one was at a track meet. The third baseman couldn't pitch due to injury. Our starting SS was on light duty and was only aloud to hit. They pitched their number 4 and a kid that pitched for the JV last year. But HJ played well and I'm eating my crow about doubting them as a contender. Duplant can chunk. I was impressed.
 19. Woodville had several starters out, including Hickman, and a couple on light duty(only batting). They didn't have their top three pitchers in action, had several people playing completely out of position, and were also missing a starter to a track meet. Tough game. Lots of errors and mental mistakes. HJ played well though. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
 20.
a year for those young guys to get better: Kville will make the playoffs, placed right behind Newton in which the Eagles will win the district. 3rd place will be up for grabs IMO.
I agree completely. I expect the Kats to get it together next year. Still no match for Newton. I expect Newton to be an early favorite to win state.

 23.
Should be great weather for the Newton Tourney starting tomorrow.  Teams participating are: >  Newton Eagles >  Silsbee Tigers >  Big Sandy Wildcats >  Burkeville Mustangs >  High Island Cardinals >  Brookeland Wildcats >  Faith Training Christian Academy Patriots  (Leesville, La), >  Southwest Louisiana Home-School Knight  (Lake Charles, La), and >  Good Samaritan Fellowship Hornets. Tourney is straight round robin, with each team playing 3 games in 3 days.
You know, I'm not from Silsbee. Nor do I have any connection the baseball team any further than this website. But I would venture to say that this is Silsbee's JV team competing in this tournament.
