Warren 3. Woodville 4. Kountze 5. Hardin 6. Evadale 7. Big Sandy 8. West Sabine 9. Deweyville 10. Colmesneil
I think I would have to put Deweyville in the six hole, the rest I agree with, good call.
Idk. I didn't see hardly anything out of Deweyville wen Woodville played them last year except for Howell. And Woodville tattooed him for seven runs and 15+ hits.

I was told Kirbyville won this game.
I hope so. This would be a BAD loss for Kirbyville considering they are fighting for the 3rd spot with Woodville.
Yes that would seemingly put them out as long as Woodville beats who their supposed to beat. That would make it to where Woodville would have to lose to Kville and another team for Kville to get the spot.

 4. 1. Newton 2. Kirbyville 3. Woodville 4. East Chambers 5. Anahuac 6. Kountze 7. Warren 8. Hardin 2,3,4, and 5 will be competitive. But the top spot and bottom two I'm afraid are solid bets. Newton- Dominant as always. Possibly better than last year. Kirbyville- Will be much improved from last years team. Woodville- Alot of incoming and developing talent and healthy starters. EC- I feel, will fall off quite a bit. Anahuac- Lost a lot of talent, but will rebuild. Kountze- Very athletic, but not enough football IQ among players YET. Warren- Losing a lot of talent, but retaining some. Mediocre season. Hardin- I don't see much support or will to change coming from this program. That combination never equals wins.
 5. I could believe that about Franklin. He has always been a natural baseball player. This Marshall kid, I have my doubts about. But a hard-throwing southpaw is always dangerous. I.E. Colby Price last year. Kountze is set up for a good year this year. Now we will see if the coach can put it all together and live up to the potential.
 6.
Kountze Lions try outs was a great deal of fun over the weekend and Coach Kirby and Franklin did a good job working together. Now for the completely unofficial scouting report. Leading the Lions infield should be Seniors Cole Williams and Braden Franklin along with Franklins younger brother Soph. Ethan. All three had All District Honors Last Year. The outfield should be lead by Senior Tyler Brown joined by All District Player, Soph. Austin marshall. Catching duties will seemingly fall on Senior Jessie James. The Lions pitching staff lead should fall on last years 1st team All District pitcher Ethan Franklin and Left hand man in this case Austin Marshall. What stands out about these two kids is they are both Soph. with very nice velocity. At the plate it looks like the Lions will have a dependable line up. In my opinion, but in no particular order, Franklin x 2, Marshall, Brown, and Williams should pull the Lion share of the load. Over all the Lions look to be in good shape this year with potential to make a run for District and post district play. On another note, the Lions have very nice group of Younger sub varsity players. Kountze Lions Ball looks to have a bright future.
Can I get a link to their PG profiles? Because I've seen both. The only one of the two that has touched the upper eighties is Franklin. And he doesn't cruise there by any means. I saw a very smart pitcher in him with decent velocity and an exceptional baseball IQ.
 7. That's almost unheard of out of a school their size. WT should be extremely proud of his program. That many D1 athletes is almost as prestigious as a state championship. Not as prestigious. But definitely a testament of a 5-star high school program, so to say.
 8.
Kountze by 3
I'm not sure about all that lol we are talking about THE Houston Yates. National basketball powerhouse the past few years. Kountze will compete. And it will be a very good game for them to play in before the playoffs. But I don't see any less than a ten point win by Yates.
 9. I won't be shocked at all. Woodville held Kountze to 88 in Woodville. And that's only because they firing up 3-pointers the last seven minutes of the game lol I'd be willing to say Newton has two guy more athletic than any guy a the Kountze side. Coaching and basketball IQ seperate these two teams.

Lol he's gonna be a good one as he develops more.
Our other sophomore Austin Marshall.. who plays select with Ethan isn't to bad either
I haven't heard his name. But I have small connections with the Franklin family and have seen Ethan play since he set the Tyler County Little League major league record for homeruns lol
Austin Marshall is a good hard throwing lefty.  He would be a great pitcher to have on any team in the area
What the velocity on his fastball?

 14. From 20-2A: Justin Twine, Jr., Hemphill; low to mid nineties with his fastball, very consistent Torin Hickman, Sr., Woodville; high eighties to low nineties fastball, very sharp breaking stuff Trent Daniels, Jr., Woodville; low eighties fastball and great breaking stuff Chase Gray, Sr., Warren; high seventies/low eighties fastball, very consistent Dylan Watts, Sr., Warren; low eighties fastball, a little wild, but tough to hit when he's on Not really sure about Corrigan-Camden, Newton, or Kirbyville.
 15. Gotta go with the Sandy men after I saw the Sabine Pass score an also considering their last meeting. Big Sandy 84 HD 52

 18.
No shot clock. Unless the UIL supplies all the clocks and installs them for free at every school in Texas (not just 5A-4A Dove) and UIL supplies a person and pays them to run these clocks at every single gym in Texas (not just 5A-4A Dove). This is really a ridiculous idea. Some schools have trouble getting people to run the scoreboard they have now.
Agreed.
 19.
Looks like Newton will eventually grab second..
Yeah :/ looks like the deciding game will be Woodville/Kville @Woodville.
 20. Not that I saw. There wa a lot of firey conversations that took place during the game. But I did not see or hear of anything afterwards.

If they beat Kville at home and lose to Newton at Newton, along with a Kville loss against Newton, Woodville gets the third spot. This is of course assuming that all three lose their next game against Kountze and all beat the teams they're supposed to. Sound right?? I don't believe Kville will beat Woodvile at home. Going to Newton will be much tougher.
I think its safe to say Kountze won't lose a district game
You're right. I mean, you never know. But there's a very VERY good chance that your statement follows through.
