  1. Its more about depth. In Ozen's case, if you have low numbers and start racking up injuries or people missing due to grades, sickness etc. it makes it pretty hard to compete. See WOS, Silsbee and Jasper in the early 2000's before they dropped.
  2. Look at the scores, that's why the Ozen fans are so bent out of shape about Ned. A 3 point OT win and a 5 point win, both with Ozen having to come from behind. Ned played Central much better the first time.
  3. Here's the article: [Hidden Content]
  4. Yeah, I guess people can't say they don't recruit locally anymore. How many locals did they end up signing?
  5. Probably not until everyone has their schedule set.
  6. Always a possibility.. Lumberton gave Central trouble too last year, but PNG and Ned blew them out. Same thing for Vidor, they always give Ned a close game but were blown out by PNG and Central.
  7. Its going to be tough to get that fourth spot with PAM coming in. Vidor is in the same boat, they will have to upset someone in the top 4 to get in.
  8. Kind of like Ozen winning by whatever they want , right dove?
  9. No idea. I liked the deal Ned and PNG had with LM and Brenham to play in Reliant and switch off those two years.
  10. Still didn't help PNG, we played them non-district in 2010 and 2011.
  11. Did that change from when Ozen was opened ? They started out with around 1900 kids I believe the first couple of years.
  12. Wouldn't mind seeing Texas City, Manvel or someone like that on the schedule
  13. 22-5A Enrollment numbers: Port Arthur Memorial: - 2098 Baytown Lee: - 1669 Nederland: - 1596 Beaumont Central: - 1471 Port Neches-Groves: - 1447 Vidor: - 1414.5 Lumberton: - 1157 Beaumont Ozen : -1121
  14. 22-5A Enrollment numbers: Port Arthur Memorial: - 2098 Baytown Lee: - 1669 Nederland: - 1596 Beaumont Central: - 1471 Port Neches-Groves: - 1447 Vidor: - 1414.5 Lumberton: - 1157 Beaumont Ozen : -1121
  15. Possibly, they need to learn how to finish off a game.
  16. Yeah, and they seemed excited about getting Williams as a coach at the start of the season.
  17. And won by 36. What's your point?
  18. Jerry Nelson's Hill Country on Stagg drive. Where the old country bar used to be facing IH 10. 3871 Stagg Dr, Beaumont, TX 77701
  19. Yeah, and the steaks are awesome also. Some others not listed, Sugas, Brian's 979 (closed now).
  20. I think that the U.S wouldn't necessarily withdraw all of the military resources. There would probably be a security agreement similar to what they have with other countries, because it would still be needed to protect the new U.S borders and would be very expensive to close down all of those bases. The U.S currently has bases all over the world in other countries such as Korea, Japan, Australia, Germany.
  21. Good job, keep it up.
  22. And O'Brien basically admitted that he screwed up benching Hoyer so fast in the first game. He also missed 3 games with injuries. Even if Savage is 100% at the start of the season I wouldn't be surprised if Hoyer starts.
