Same argument Vidor makes almost every year, smh. All returning starters are not created equal. Returning starters from a "D" that gave up 42 pts vs PNG and 51 vs Nederland isn't the same as returning starters that held them down under 25 or less.

After the first half I was thinking Ned might not make the playoffs. After the second half I would say I am cautiously optimistic . If they clean up some of the things I mentioned above I think they will be ok

Ok, my take: The good: - It looks like Ned found thier QB, he just needs to work on his touch a little. -Run defense was ok -Simmons looked pretty dang good. The bad: -Pass defense needs work -Oline needs work, especially pass protection -I was going to put QB on here but I think they solved that - time mangement at the end of the game. -Special teams at times. The Ugly: Way too many penalties!! We got Dayton out of several 2nd or 3rd and longs with stupid penalties.
