  10. Just the 2 local counties Jefferson and Hardin has 135 deaths out of 8016 cases which gives 1.68 percent instead of the .00044 of 1 percent death rate mortality rate you came up with. That is why I'm trying to understand your math

Sweden didn't lock down as much as U.S. but it also put recommendations in place and the people followed the recommendations closer over there than many followed rules here. Sweden's population is only around 10 million and is not a good comparison to US. Sweden and Denmark are right next to each other and similar demographics. Look at how they compared during this time.
  13. You can always find dems who will back a rep and vice versa if you look hard enough. I think most already know who they are going to back for the presidency. I just hope everyone takes some time to look at other positions that will be on the ballot. Don't vote straight ticket as both sides have some crazies in their mix. Do a little homework as this election will be important just like all elections are important in some way.

  15. Both sides are getting worse every election and usually these long posts are riddled with untruths. Just read the first part of this post and there are errors. There were Democrats at the inauguration so this is false, though there were quite a few missing. Skipping inaugurations is nothing new in politics as there were republicans that skipped inaugurations of Clinton and Obama. Inauguration skipping goes back to at least Woodrow Wilson when some skipped in support of Women's right to vote. I'm not a fan of either candidate, but we will have to decide in November. Hopefully we can get some real information to base our decisions on instead of false stuff floating on the internet.

  17. yes, I was being facetious. Braelon is one of the best scorers I've seen at the high school level and I only popped off about the height as others would mention it over the course of his career on here. He was always worth the ticket to get in.
  18. Decent career for a short guy. I remember when he was young and playing on Silsbee Jr. All Stars. He could light if up then and was never afraid of anything in front of him. I've enjoyed watching him when I could through the years and I'm glad I never had to face him when I played. Good luck to him in college.

  21. We played sloppy and Nederland played well. They worked the ball around nicely and gained momentum late in 1st and rode it a while. We open up with Texas City which we beat early in the season. If we come back together as a team and hit the 3s, we have a chance. Nederland has improved over the later half of the season and may get some playoff wins this year.
