drewlsu reacted to bullets13 in WOS vs HJ Halloween Night
not sure what that means. perhaps you're dreaming up more made up assertions to put in the mouths of unsuspecting hawk supporters?

drewlsu reacted to bullets13 in HJ------WO-S inside look
Another thing about HJs and wos's schedule is that 4 of the teams with records at .500 or a game over have 2 of their losses to HJ and WOS. OF was a good win for HJ at the time according to many on here. Is it not now that they've lost another game to WOS? If you look at jasper, they're a good team. If they don't schedule HJ and WOS, right now they're 7-1 and we're throwing them around as a team that's among the best in the area. LCM is another one that could be 6-2. Hard to judge a team based on their opponents record AFTER they beat them and make their record go from good to decent.

I can only think of one poster that has said that definitely HJ would win. I think every other HJ fan knows that WOS has dominated the history of this matchup and to come out with a W will require a whole lot of hard work, effort and some luck. WOS is the current champion and until they are knocked off, that will remain.
However, HJ is now in the second year with their new head coach and can run this offense to a "T", pun intended. :) We also have some speed that WOS has not seen from us.
The defense is much improved with lots of size and hard hitters. Will your receivers be a problem for us, yes, but I'm sure with two weeks to prepare, Dubois has taken some steps to try and at least limit their production. You're QB will have to scramble some, which actually may help you out.
Win or lose, this game is certainly "game of the week" if not "game of the year" (outside of midcounty madness) for this area.
Good luck, I hope both teams give it their all and come out injury free ready to make deep runs in the playoffs.

Just looking at final scores and level of competition I would think that playing La Marque instead of La Grange in the third round would be an advantage.
Kashmere made a game of it against La Marque last night.
Come on Halloween!! -

HJ just scored late to put it away. PAT no good. Hawks win 13-4! -

Of course there are ALOT of assumptions being made, but I think that's kind of the point of this thread... -

This conversation is getting really tiresome. Can we talk football please?
I'm hoping to see an OF La Marque matchup in the first round of 4a-DII. I know OF fans don't want to finish fourth but that's the best chance for a district 9 sweep!! -

Not sleeping. I believe La Marque to be top five in the region if not higher. I just see their first round game as a possible trap game. -

Bringing this thread back up.
Since HJ is on bye this week I'm pretty tempted to go watch WOS v HF. Seeing HJ play HF last week I must say that the Longhorns surprised me.
We'll see if they can surprise WOS this week.
Whoever wins this HJ/WOS matchup, I know each team will play their guts out. Both teams will be looking for the rematch in the quarter finals! -

I'm certainly pulling for HF in the playoffs. If they finish 4th, they would play La Marque and it would be GREAT if they could go ahead and knock them out! -

If they incorporate it into their game plan it could steal a possession. To win, you have to keep WOS offense off field. -

Good game Orangefield. Lots of fight and heart in your team. -

The JV would not lose the game because the student didn't become ineleligble until Friday at the end of the school day.
The issue is, if you know the student was going to fail, where should he be Thursday night, hitting the field, or hitting the books.
I vote books.

The first step for a complaint like this should be to the school's administration, not some outside organization trying to stir up drama.
Who you rootin' for? HJ Hawks!
