Just like BuddyGaritty said prior to your post, there was little talent at Ball and Lee for him to work with. After the hurricanes in Galveston, the talent went north to LaMarque, Dickinson, and Texas City. Lee, well Lee is Lee. They haven't been much for about 15 years...

BUT he did pretty good at Nimitz, Central, and his other jobs, where he had real talent.

Ozen landed a good one. He did nothing but flourish at Central. Coached Central to 2nd round of playoffs in 02. VERY good defensive team.

03 team at that time went the farthest at that time in Central history. 3 rounds and lost to the eventual state champs that year Bay City Black Cats. Jaguar Anthony Collins was wrecking shop ay defensive end and Olympic Track star Chopper Williams also played on defense.

I tell you one thing. From what I remember, the defense will be sound. But his offensive plays are VERY questionable.

He left Central for 5a jobs.. didn't do too good in Aldine Ike as he was in a tough district. He also failed miserable at Galveston Ball (then 5a). Ball's talent was depleted after the hurricanes. I forgot the other 5a jobs that he took, but its good to hear that he's back in Beaumont. Let's now see if he can sell this to the already talented kids @ Ozen...

I never said scrimmages were real games... I said PAM was clearly outplayed in every facet of the game in all prior scrimmages. Take that for what It's worth... B).

at least 1 school can dominate Ozen, I dont see Central doing it. :D

I just got asked if I'll be doing the videos again this coming season.

I will be doing them for our district but if someone from another team out of our district would like a video just let know.

I also want to try and get someone from each team to try and get pictures throughout the season for me so I can do one for each team plus our district.

Just letting y'all know Tony Brown got an interception in today's spring game. Things look pretty promising for him.

So, the Central kids get more help to pass their curriculum to be able to play? That's basically saying that Ozen players are smarter than Central players overall. That's an asinine comment. There are players at almost every high school that needs special attention in the classroom. Ozen is no exception. Trust me, I know this personally.

I don't agree with that. No one is out to get Ozen, IMO. Mediocrity at one school is not good for the district as a whole. Why would anybody in theory right mind sabotage one school for the sake of school pride from 30 plus years ago vs. The well being for the ISD as a whole?

Dude, what are you talking about? The good here outweighs the bad, truly. Yes, Suggs is a journeyman, but hopefully he stays a while again. And he is a winner, which is what Ozen Needs NOW. At this point, damn tomorrow. Focus on now.

Pitch right... Pitch left... Option left, option right... Fullback dive... Runningbqck by committee. You won't see a 1000 hard rusher. You'll see like 5 RB's with a total of about 300 yards... There have been games where he will only throw the ball MAYBE 5 times.. all smashmouth downhill running... Right in your face..
