In all seriousness, tiger stadium is a great venue and I wish that the grass they have can be kept up better.  I'm just a fan of old school football.

REAL football is to be played on grass.  Classic football is to be played in the conditions...  That includes mud as well.  What do you think teams did before there was turf?

What team do you think will actually test Newton in these 2012 playoffs?

Who is the quarterback you'd prefer on your team out of these choices: Quirante -  best running QB in our district and just a beast on both ends Collins - University of Texas commit Mitchell - best duel threat QB in our district Raines - best game manager QB  in our district and that I've seen in a while.

Out of the  3 teams fighting to get in, Central is the only one that controls their own destiny.

Does Silsbee have a realistic chance of not only Scoring on WO-S, but beating them? Based on common oponents for Nederland and Central (LC-M), Central beat them by a wider margin.  Would that mean that Central has it  them to pull off the major upset  over state ranked Big Ned? Best game to make this weekend?  Memorial/Laporte, Silsbee/WO-S, or Dayton/Summer Creek

This game has the capability to be a high scoring game, like last here's Ozen / Nederland matchup.  Green from Ozen last year can be compared to Mitchell from this year.  I would love to  be on the winning end of this one.

There's a forum for politics.  This is Nederland vs. Central.  You know, football. You say Nederland will beat Central pretty bad as judging how you described it above... I think this will be a good game.  Better than most think.

A WIN is a WIN and Nederland has won their last SIXTEEN district games! Central has 3 losses in district and by the way the Dogs beat those teams by a combined 78-20! Central has been Jeckyl and Hyde all season long and if you are depending on us being "due for a letdown" to win this game, then good luck with that. Back to back undefeated district championships and a HOME game to boot? Nederland also has Back to back shutouts the last two games and out scored thd opponents 83-0. Can the Jags win? Sure they can. But, give me the consistent team with the consistent results week in and week out vs. a Jeckyll and Hyde team any day of the week. No team is ever as good or as bad as their last game either. [/quote]It's true what you say about the Jags.  We are how you describe us as....  Inconsistent.  But, my comment about Nederland was not more of a diss, but as a compliment.  Those Guys are playing so good, one would think they are due for a letdown (better now than in the playoffs).  So, in a sense, I guess I'm HOPEING for a Bulldog letdown.  :D
