Welcome to 2013 Port Arthur use to dominate basketball years ago our area was known for football how is that working out now?

Not trying to knock coach English and his accomplishments, but when will he add a state appearance more or less a state championship to his accomplishments. With all the praise he get on this site you would think colleges would be knocking his door down.

Ozen finest is very critical of Saveat as a coach, I am interested to know what he would have done as coach for Ozen against Central that he did not do to try and win the game.

Good post stroker ,one thing you hate to hear is some one making excuses for a lost, as you said make adjustements ,put theam on the line, but don't cry after you let time run out and let a team hold the ball for two minutes.I am an Ozen supporter, and don't care for teams to hold the ball myself ,but it is called strategy.Vidor is a much improved team, and presents a good challenge, look forward to going to their next game against Ozen.

Both ,Jared hit some clutch 3s and Jordon had a good game all around.

Good point blue ,chemistry was part of the problem but Central was the better team last night. But I am going to go out on a limb and say, next time they play Ozen will come out the winner.Based on what I say ,Ozen waited 2 quarters b/4 they realized they were in a game.

You are right blue ,we had the same discussion last year this time, about Central coach.But since Central is winning so far this year, you don't hear nothing about firing the coach.People tend to judge by wins and losses,but if you know any thing about any sports ,you make adjustments based on the other team and try to improve.I watched Ozen boys play this weekend they lack a big man,once they get all their players they will be fine.I don't pay much attention to coach bashing, because when you win such as Central is doing thus far it shuts the nay sayers mouths.

I agree as well, we tend to sit in the stands and cast judgment ,criticize ,but I don't recall this forum blowing up with praise for the coach when they made it deep I into playoffs last year.How about we let players-play, coaches-coach, and spectators-spectate.It's not how you start ,but how you finish that defines a person.

Give me a guard that can push it up the floor ,and set up the play or be a play maker.Do not
need a post player looking for the ball in the paint near as much.

Texas Synergy need two players to fill our 14u softball team ,we practice this Sunday at Ozen high school at 2pm ,we will also have try-outs on 7/28 from 10am-2pm.Pitcher or catcher positions open ,could use key role player as well . contact:Reggie Colbert 409-338-5254 for more info.

AMY CAT 74 actually it's not to late to get your daughter on a select softball team if you are interested their is a 14u team practicing at Ozen softball field at 2:00 pm Sunday bring her then if interested.

Some one don't know much about nothing,what kind of sense would that make, to put some one in a head coach position that have never been their, not to mention replacing the only coach still playing in 20-4a ,and Beaumont for that matter, and heading to the regional tournament.Give it a rest, coach Saveat has done a good job with this team ,weather you like his coaching style or not.

It's very hard to read some of the things said, on this site ,such as a traveling circus, but I do understand ,you have various people on this site.I happen to be a supporter of Ozen, and never realized it was a circus,but if it is a circus,with those comments ,maybe they can use a few clowns, you should audition.

I personally think most of the JV players for Ozen ,can be starters on a lot of the area varsity teams.

On a side note ,Dove I commend you for never getting on here, and bragging on your kids, they played well ,can't wait for their varsity debut.

As well as Ozen JV played, Ned hung around until the last few minutes of the game. Pretty much the same story as the Varsity squad, missed open shots.

In the varsity game Ozen simply out played Ned. in all aspects ,other than free throw shooting, Ned. tried to play hack a Shaq. ;D ;D -
