Ugly win, but still a win. Not to look beyond LaPorte, next week, but NS is going to wipe the floor with us. Yikes!

Nope that would mean a very early exit stage left lol
If we went D2? How so?

If I was actually betting on this game, in a pick em, I would have to go with King. Now, to be fair, Kings defense didnt see the same Bruin offense that United saw, so it wouldn't be fair to sat the United defense is not as good as Kings. But, after seeing both King, and United play, I would give the edge to King. However, I would like to see United win.

I don’t see Channelview or Deer Park getting in even though there are 5 games left. So if any combination of United, King as yes LaPorte get in, Bruins go D1.
Still too early to tell. All WB needs is for Deer Park, or Channelview, to get in, and the Bruins go D2. If the playoffs were to start today, that's exactly what would happen. Crossing my fingers, because we dont really want to go D1.

The refs will definitely be on the bus with King. Lol

West Brook’s 2018 team was a special one. I think it was more dangerous running the ball with McGhee, Holland and the QB Elie. This year it SEEMS the big plays generally come from the passing game. Despite this years team being 4-0 compared to last years team being 3-1at this same point, most Bruin fans that I’ve talked to think last years team was better at this point of the season.
BU is head and shoulders better in every aspect of the game than last years team.
I think neither team will pull away in this one by more than 14 points.
Agreed.

82, you know better than to single out a single player.

West Brook is definitely a more battle tested team, and has beaten more quality opponents than United. The offense we displayed against King was very vanilla. I expect Coach Peevey to open up the playbook this week. If I was a betting man, I'd say Brook by 2 scores. But, these are high school kids, so I'll just keep my money. On paper, This is a game West Brook should win.

The offense seemed very, very vanilla, seemingly doing just enough to win. Also, it was taking FOR-E-VER to get the plays in when on offense. We spent alot of time staring at the sidelines. I'm not sure if this is something new, or maybe just the first time I noticed. I'm almost wondering if the coaches were holding their cards close to their chest, not wanting to show their hand before the BU game. It was a win, but man it was ugly. Defense is still giving up way too many points, although they looked much better in the second half. Still need to put some sustainable drives on offense, and gain some rhythm. If we can do that, we'll be ok, but still lots of work to do.
-
They're not blitzing every single play. They're primarily playing a 4 man front, and they're line is just plain beating our offensive line. The only success we have had has been passing the ball, when #14 has time. Geez.🙄

Is it half time yet and score?
King 14
Brook 12, half

The running game hasn't done crap, also because the offensive line cant beat their way put of a wet paper sack.
-
This team definitely is playing with no sense of urgency, and quite frankly, they appear to be regressing. They're definitely not as good as they were at this point last year. They're about to lose that #9 ranking.
-
Man, coaches taking forever to get the plays in, and the plays they're calling are horrible. 1st and 10, from the 1, and you call a run up the middle. We haven't been able to make that play work all night. No gain. West Brook could lose this game.
-
Bruin Offensive Line is absolutely pathetic, tonight. Not blocking at all. QB running for his life.
-
United by alot!

What you seen during the PNG scrimmage and after 3 preseason games is what you gonna see all Yr. Hopefully they’ll scrap whatever it is they’re doing out there because it’s not working. They can’t even get off the field on 3rd and 20. Big time prospect Thad Johnson better continue to put up huge numbers and carry the offense or Brook will be in trouble.
Well, in addition to that, we're also suppose to be getting Jakobi Holland back in a few weeks. So, he will definitely help in making the offense better before the playoffs. That being said, this years defense is definitely lacking something that made them much better, last year.
-
Basee on the sample size we've seen thus far, I think it's safe to (more than likely) pencil in NS, WB, and probably United, for the playoffs. What are the chances that Channelview, or DP gets the 4th spot? Your thoughts.

WB defense can't keep spoting teams points They did that a lot last year, do the defense coaches watch film during the week!
I've wondered that, myself.

The athletes, and talent, are definitely there. It's the ability to put the kids in the right scheme, in the correct set, based on the offensive tendencies, that make all the difference.

WB defense is young I thought they would come around about now! They defensive coordinator needs to tighten up.

When a team ranked higher than you loses (Austin Westlake), and you get jumped by a lower ranking team (Converse Judson), one can only assume its because West Brook is simply doing just enough to win, and lacks a killer mentality that would allow you to blow teams out, instead of winning by 10. Oh well, these boys are either going to learn to play tougher, or they're going to get beat. Period.
