I think, in the long run, it will work out and we will benefit from playing a preseason like we will see next year. But believe me when I tell you, Stump did not set out to schedule those teams we will play in preseason. We kind of got stuck with having to schedule them, as most schools start district play in Week 4. We kind of had to take what we could get. It just so happens that it was Katy, and Ike, and Westfield.....and only because they are also in small districts like ours. I think we will make the most of this opportunity, and eventually, it will make us a stronger football team.....cause I gotta tell you, with the exception of North Shore, West Brook has probably the toughest preseason schedule in the state. It will either make us or break us! I think it will make us.

People are saying that 21-5A is going to be the toughest district in Region 3! We certainly have some of the toughest preseason schedules in the state! There is going to be some VERY GOOD football games that local 5A teams are involved in next season. I'm on the countdown...........

21-5A competition is going to come down to West Brook and North Shore for the District title. Both the Bruins and the Mustangs have scheduled to play Katy and Aldine Eisenhower in their preseason matchups. The Bruins have the task of trying to knock off Spring Westfield in another non-district game, while NS will take on the Dragons of SL Carroll in a preseason game. These two district foes will be trading punches with some of the premier teams in the state in the preseason. That should make for a great District title matchup when they finally play. Here is NS's preseason schedule with last year's final records: Week 0-Katy (16-0) Week 1-Aldine Eisenhower (8-4) Week 2-Cy Falls (9-3) Week 3-LaMarque (who cares) Week 4-SL Carroll (11-2) Week 5-open Week 6-10 District play West Brook's preseason is just as impressive: Week 0-Ozen Week 1-Central Week 2-Spring Westfield (11-2) Week 3-Aldine Eisenhower (8-4) Week 4-Katy (16-0) Week 5-open Week 6-10 District play Should make for a very interesting season in 21-5A!

You want the games that yall gonna be ate for lunch to be games of the week? What about the week 1 game? ;D Oh that's just a warmup game....we'll prolly start our second stringers for that one! After that game is when the competition really gets good. LOL!

thats what everyone back home was telling me that he was leaving. I know it wont be an excuse not to make the playoffs this year. True! All they have to do is win two games and they're in. Channelview and Sterling should be easy wins for your Titans.

haha seriously? Sterling sneak in there?? I wish, but we havent been to the playoffs since 1985, dont see that changing this year.... I'm just being optimistic for them. However, they played some teams very close last year.

My preseason pick for the 2008 playoffs would be North Shore, West Brook, PA Memorial, and Baytown Lee. If that were the case, NS and West Brook would be the Div. I reps, and PAM and Lee would represent Div II. However, if Sterling were to sneak in there, then WB would go Div II and Sterling would go Div I because of the larger enrollment numbers. Just something to ponder. ;D

Man, what an awesome preseason schedule. Stump has really done some good things for this program. If we're going to be an elite team, we're going to beat some elite teams to get some recognition from the "experts"!
