BTW, the Katy game against West Brook is a Saturday 5pm game. Better get there early. I was told by one of the Katy 'faithful' that they will begin filling up the visitors side at about 2:30 that day, so get your season tickets......NOW! ;D

Good for him, although there are probably some district opponents the will be sad to hear that.

West Brook would not see Cy-Falls or Katy in the playoffs as they will most likely be going Division II, and WB will be going Division I. We would most likely see teams like North Shore, Pearland, and Lufkin. However, all that may be in jeopardy, should Stump leave and go to Lamar!

I heard LM is willing to pay $92.5k I would think it would take alot more than that to get him to leave a place like Nederland. I'm thinking something in the neighborhood of $120-$125 thousand to get him to go anywhere.

On a more serious note....I keep hearing the same two names mentioned on this forum for the HC position, Koenning and Pope. Does anybody think Craig Stump will be the new HC? I am worried we may lose him at Brook! :'(

based on the returning starters, for both teams, I'd have to say 'BigNed' at this point. We'll see after week 9.

I would love to see somebody besides Stump get the job, but I'm a bit of a homer. : I think Stump would do a phenominal job at Lamar, but I REALLY dont want to see him leave a West Brook program that is heading in the direction to be a state powerhouse in a few years. Maybe I'm being a little too selfish. Yes, Stump is a great candidate for the Cardinal HC job, I'd just like to see him win a state title at Brook before he goes back to college ball.

Baylor? ??? Why would he go to Baylor. Unless there's a good chance that he'll play as a freshman. Otherwise, It's a waste of time and his good talent........non-competitive losing tradition.

Let me say this, Yes, Westfield is fast. BUT, if you guys hadn't lost to Cy-Falls the week before you guys played West Brook, the Bruins would/should have won that game. The refs won ya'll that game because there is no way that they allow 'the mighty Westfield Mustangs' to lose two games in a row, and you know it. The refs cheated on several calls that put the game in your favor. Soulja was right, West Brook had ya'll on the ropes and should have won the game, but the refs intervened (the off sides penalty that negated a TD)and the Mustangs won. Stick around and see what happens next year at our house! PODNAH!

Honestly, I think Newmann wants a ring before he retires. Let's face it, he's probably not gonna get one where he's at. Yes, Nederland has a fine tradition and he's been a big part of it. But, Nederland doesn't have near the talent base that he would have to pick from at a place like LaMarque. If it's a state title he wants, he definitely would find the tools there!

Is Woody Williams gonna get a starting spot, or is Patterson gonna fill his spot in the rotation sending Williams to the bullpen?
