Which is precisely why those starters should have sat out the second half of the Bellaire game. Theres absolutely no reason why some key players are hurt. Some coaches just dont learn.

Brook should win this one by a country mile. To be frank, Coach should probably sit the starters for the second half, and give the backups some good game experience.

He needs to play with the freshmen for a bit, and maybe move up to JV later on this season. It's been suggested, by some, that he should be on the varsity. He is not ready for the speed of varsity competition, yet. Maybe next year.

I saw him play some 8th grade games at Legacy, last year. He was a one man wrecking crew, and single handedly beat some Christian school from the Woodlands. He's good, but he needs to learn that there are 10 other teammates on the field with him.

Dobie is trash. Hell, that whole Pasadena district is weaker than a spring branch. They posed no real test.

I agree. What's sad is, Peevey is suppose to be a defensive coach. Why put a man in the head coaching position, when the thing that he is known for doesn't work so good? One would think that because he was a defensive coordinator, he would have a stellar defense. It doesnt make sense to me.

Anybody give the Bruins much of a chance in this one? At the rate the Bruin defense likes to give up points, I don't think Brook goes 4 hours north, and comes away with a win. Your thoughts?

Yeah, the Bruins secondary is trash. They normally stop the run pretty well, unless youre Lufkin, in which case they let their RB tip toe through gaping holes, for 20 yards. Championship teams have dominant defenses. West Brook is not a championship team. Hasn't been since 1982.

You must mean the entire game. West Brooks defense is always in garbage time. They couldn't stop water running uphill, which is bad seeing as the HC is a defensive guy. Not good, bro.

Hey, West Brook can score 70 points in a single game. Cool! Hey, West Brook's defense can give up 43 points in a single game. Not cool! SMDH. Looks like it's going to be a first round exit for the Bruins.

When you have a bruising RB that keeps busting big runs up the middle, and West Brook never goes from a 3/4 scheme, to a 6 man front to stop the run, that's definitely coaching. The coaches had these kids set up to lose. Peevy was on the sidelines with no headset on, with his head looking at the ground, pacing the sidelines with his hands in his pocket. Now, who does that? I've never seen this type of coaching, before. The lack of preparation, and the lack of in game adjustments, proves that this staff cannot compete with the elite of 6A. They didn't give those kids an opportunity to win. It's a disgrace, and we expect better. I mean, how do you go on the road, one year, and score 70 points on a team, and win, to losing to the same team, at home, and only score 7? I don't get it. Lufkin was better prepared, and better coached. Period. They werent the better team.
