82 5A State Champs

I'm not worried about second effort. I'm worried about the fact that it looks like our offense is centered around #33. Maybe it just looks like that because of all the attention he's getting. I am worried about what might happen to our ability to move the ball and score points if we lose him to an injury. I dont want to see him become another Boobie Miles.

NEver mind. I see we lost the scrimmage, but #33 didn't play the second half. The only thing that worries me is if C-Mike gets injured. It seems as though we might have put all the emphasis on this young manand what he can do for us. What will our offense be like without him in the lineup?

Great pics, Len! It looks like C-Mike and C-Lou are making a lot of the plays on offense. How did we actually do against Lufkin?

I would love to see our other team from Beaumont win. LaMarque has a new HC and a new scheme. Central has a few returners and could cause some problems for the Cougars. I have to give the edge to LM, although the Jags should play them a tough game.

Yeah, I'm sure Alaskan HS football has a little something to be desired next to Texas HS football. Just not quite the same, is it? ;D

If this year's team had a great deal of success, you could see a whole lot more than 4 playing Division 1 ball next year.

I thought Lufkin was going to more of a Pro type offense? Either way, it out to tell us where we are as a team. Lord knows we have some good teams we are gonna face this season. Should be a good tune up game!

....and the point I was trying to make was that it was MY opinion. If you do not agree with MY opinion, that's fine. But, who are you to criticize my opinion. Are you the voice representing all HS coaches in Texas? Are you someone that I'm suppose to bow down to and who's opinion I'm suppose to value. NO! But you made an issue of it when you called me out on it. All you had to say was that you disagreed with me. You had to make the comment about "having a set of b*lls", and then questioning my qualifications to make a statement about the coaching. I am not a coach, I am a fan......just like you! If I disagree with a coach's performance, then I'm entitled to speak freely about it, after all this is AMERICA. I take it from your screen name that you are in some way associated with the first West Brook team that won the state championship in their year of inception. I doubt that this alone makes you qualified to assess a 5-A team and a 4-A team in the areas as "Neither have good coaching." So what are your qualifications. Are your coaching somewhere this year or are you running a convenience store in the Pear Orchard? Excuse me? And just who the heck are you? You're getting on me because I stated my opinion? Yes, I believe that both PAM and Central are loaded with athletic talent. Yes, I believe they would both do better with a different coaching staff. You need to mind your own business, and crawl back under your little rock in Tigerland. If I'm not mistaken, the reason this thread was started was to see who people thought would win out of PAM and Central.....not Silsbee!
