  1. Perhaps prima donna was a poor choice of words. Maybe "movie star" would be better?
  2. #33 and #12 will most likely play. Jordan Garrett is probably out until the NS game, but might be available for the Sterling game. In the case of PAM, who has a tendency to struggle scoring points, is a team that likes to throw the ball. WB's defensive secondary has looked better than in recent weeks. I have to give the edge to the Bruins based solely on experience at this point. We are not totally healthy, so it might give the Titans a chance to get into the game. If we are totally healthy, then there's no chance for a PAM victory. Our defense is gonna have to rise to the occasion and be ready to stop the pass. If Louis and Michaels have a good game, then WB wins. If they dont, a win might be tougher. The attitude for our boys will determine how far we go in the playoffs. Good attitude=a deep playoff run. Bad attitude=a second round exit. Just as a side note, we have dropped from the Top 25 rankings on www.5atexasfootball.com . We had a rough game last week against the Ganders, and they saw fit to drop us from their rankings. Cool! We'll fly under the radar for a while. 8)
  3. Malcolm Williams? I think I heard Chip to say that he would be back this week. His goal is to have everyone healthy for the NS game. Although, I'm not sure how much good it will do against the Mustangs. They're liable to injure a bunch more of us if we're not careful.
  4. OK, I just talked to Chip, (the head Athletic Trainer at West Brook) and he said that Christian Louis suffered a Pulmonary Contusion to his lung. What this means is that he's torn, or damaged, the inner lining in one of his lungs. This is the reason he was spitting up blood. C-Lou is on antibiotics, and should be OK to play on Friday. Now the other primadonna is another story. With the case with Michaels, he has a "hip pointer", I believe is what it was called. He basically injured his hip in the Channelview game, and re-aggrivated it again in the Lee game. It was padded in the second half of the Lee game, and he played fine. He also has a knee that has been nagging him for some time, but that is also OK. Basically he is cleared to play, if he really wants to. Jordan Garrett is most likely out until the Sterling game. He has a high-ankle sprain that is slow to heal. It is hopeful that all three of these young men will be healthy for the last game of the season, and headed into the playoffs with a full head of steam. If #12 is healthy, with #4 and #33 in the backfield once again, we should be OK once the playoffs get here.
  5. He is currently on antibiotics to treat his injury. Most likely he will play.

  7. Yeah, but without a QB that can pass and run, then your offense becomes very one-dimensional. That's what happened last week against Lee. They knew C-Lou wasn't in there and Falgout had already thrown an INT, so they stacked the box because they knew the run was coming.
  8. That's good news. But if he doesn't play, we got to get the younger Falgout in there and get him ready to start. Alot is riding on this game Friday. I wish him the best on a speedy recovery.
  9. YIKES! I was out of town all weekend and was getting game updates from a few buddies (Thanks Soulja and WBbear), but it sounds like it might have been a costly win for us. From what I've heard about Louis is that "he's gonna be just fine", as his mother was quoted as saying. I dint know if that means he'll play next week or not, but hopefully this week will be good to him and he will get some much needed healing time. Based on what I've been told, it seems as though our offense never got into a rhythm. C-Mike first went down, and that left Louis to basically run the offense by himself. If anybody knows C-Lou, he tends to get a bit ancy when his buddy C-Mike is not in the game. Then he got hurt, which basically forced Michaels to get back into the game and was not 100%. Them you've got a backup QB, with few snaps, come into the game and throws an INT on his first attempt. Sounds to me like we were lucky to win this game. I'm definitely worried about the next few games. If we don't get back some key personell, healthy, we can kiss a long playoff run goodbye. I am going to call the trainer tomorrow and see if I can find out the current status on #12, #4, and #33. I'll post as soon as I know something.
  10. OK bigd, you've been warned. One more time and you're going on a vacation. BOY!
  11. Goose season begins early, as Bruins shoot down Ganders 57-7 for 2008 Homecoming win! Associate sports writer 82 5A State Champs ;D
  12. Good luck to the Titans. I'd like to see ya'll knock the Rangers off their pedestal and send them home woozy at 1-1. ;D
  13. He's real close to having his posts deleted and forced to take a break for a little while. Watch the profanity.
  14. Man, Channelview is so weak, they couldnt beat their way out of a paper bag. However, they did score 20 on us. Mind you, that was after a 34 day hiaetus. ;D
  15. ......AT ANY LEVEL!!! Gentleman, THIS is 5A football!!
  16. You're absolutely right, bigD92........we SUCK.....we dont belong on the same field with the Mustangs. In fact, lets just not show up and forfeit the game. Would that make you happy? It would be the only way you'd be right. We might lose to the BIG, BAD NS Mustangs, but they wont blow us out the water like you say. Hey, you notice how every time you post on here your karma takes a dump. It might not do that if you would not make such juvenile posts. :
  17. It just disappoints me that some in this area can't wait for Brook to lose... It does seem like that, doesn't it? The reason we're not ranked any higher is because "we haven't played anybody!" blah blah blah I almost hope we get ahold of a Katy Tiger in the playoffs. I'd love to see our boys put them in their place.........maybe with a choke slam? ;D
  18. I hope they don't lose another game and make it to state. Well, thanks for the support there, pal. Unfortunately, we've still got to play NS. While they've not seen an offense like ours yet, we've yet to see a defense as stingy as theirs. Maybe we'll win, realistically we prolly wont, but anything can happen. You know what they say, "offense wins games, defense wins championships!"
  19. ....and if you saw the first half of the C-view game, you'd know why I said what I said. I'll say it again in case anybody missed it. I'm as big a West Brook fan as anybody and I'll defend my team to the end, but our secondary is STILL suspect. With or without Jordan Garrett, If you're a HS team and you like to pass the ball, we cant do much to stop it except to outscore you. Our coaching can usually overcome it by changing up the defensive scheme, but we gave up 20 points to Channelview in the first half. Folks, thats more than they had scored in their first three games combined. There is no excuse for that kind of play. If we're gonna be an elite team in Texas, we're gonna have to play like one. Dont think I'm knocking our boys, but I see a problem here (and I'm obviously not the only one) and it needs to be addressed. As far as Jordan is concerned, I talked to Chip and he said that he would most likely be out until the Sterling game but should be OK. I just hope we dont lose anybody else to injury.
  20. 1985? I didn't realize it had been that long. Well, now that they've beaten Lee they really only need to win one more game and essentially they're in. I dont expect PAM to put up too much of a fight.
  21. NO Bulletin Board Material !!! If we get to play them in the postseason, I'm not going to say a word before the game. NOW, after the game (if we've won it), then I'm gonna talk smack so much...........I just wanna say, "I told you so, nonbeliever!"
  22. Yeah, I saw it. Just keep in mind, the source of those polls. In case you dont know it, that website is operated and owned by a bunch of Katy alumni. So, given the source, it doesn't suprise me. I voiced my opinion about the whole thing. They dont rank us any higher, I was told, because we haven't really played anybody that's worth a crap. They are also the ones who think everyone else's poll is junk. Dave Campbell has us ranked #7. Dave's been doing it ALOT longer than the "Tiger Faithful" have. So, let our run through the playoffs do the talking. There's a better than average chance that we'll be going Div II, so we might just get to meet those mighty Katy Tigers in the third round. I hope we smash them into the ground! >
