BADSANTA

Silsbee vs HJ has been the PREMIER match up in SETX for the past 7 years. Before then I would say it was Kountze vs HJ, Ozen vs Central, Silsbee vs PA Lincoln, West Brook vs Central. The only schools with a huge fan base to make noise over the past few years has been Silsbee, HJ, and Koutntze. Evadable and Spurger have done well but don't see too many of their fans on here. If you have never been to a Silsbee vs HJ home and home game, I'd advise you to do so. I really enjoy the fans and the clean game both teams play. Over the last few years I think both teams have combined to have 5 All State Players (Stallworth, Jones, Robinson,Donahoe, and Prudhomme), 2 of the states best coaches, and the largest crowds in SETX. 2-8 vs 3-7 is one wack game but suppose one of those schools gets on a roll and goes 4 rounds deep.

Huffman does have a good team! We deserved playoff spot!

I also think that the Silsbee coaches have to be on their A plus game. Football isn't always about the most talent but excellent play calling as well. Got to figure out how to get the ball into the play makers hands. Mix something's up a little. We need that defense to step up and bring pain!

How are they looking for this upcoming season? Deep playoff run?

I bet HJ beats down every team they play by at least 15 points.

[/quote] No it's not but name one team who throws as much as Huffman that Silsbee has played. They only run once or twice a drive just to keep the defense honest to pass.

Turner Stadium to watch Silsbee

I know Drake is going to come out his play his heart out. I hope Silsbee can get an effective ground game going so he doesn't have to throw over 20 times Saturday night. If they run The ball and keep the ball away from Huffman, they may have a chance of winning. Who knows!

HJ has more state championships 3 than your football team has regular season wins in the last 3 years. Yes you have dominated Silsbee and we have beat you too. So what's your point? We won't beat you this year. We cant! HJ's team is better than the 09/10 Yates team!

I don't see Silsbee winning this game. I have seen some questionable play calling, lack of getting the ball into play makers hands, and blocking issues. Our secondary hasn't played a passing game like this all year. Huffman 42 Silsbee 20.

HJ running away in the polls. I honestly don't see too many teams beating them at all. Congrats HJ on another state championship!

Here are the keys to a Tiger win vs Huffman. 1. Figure out how to put pressure on their QB. Their passing game is serious! 2. Tackle the ball carrier and wrap up. Too many missed tackles 3. Start Pat Reed! Nothing against Drake but Reed is the man to start 4. Get the ball in your playmakers hands Turk, Gaines, Drake, Holmes and Spearman! 5. Block something! Biggest line I have seen in a while but they have played a little soft lately!

Game location not decided yet but heard on the radio it could be at Turner Stadium in Humble next Friday night.
