Do any of  you think Sutherland will take a promotion and move up to 4A or 5A. I could see him coaching in a school district like Cy Fair, Katy, or even in the Dallas area. Not sure if he still has kids in school or not. Smetimes that makes the move difficult.

Joe Sigler and Ira Brooks will do just fine as well!

Huffman is over looking Silsbee. Don't know why but they are.

Playing the same team EVERY year in the playoffs tends to get boring don't you think? What if Huffman didn't make the playoffs? Who would Silsbee play?

Huffman fans are clue less. You lose to state ranked ColdSprings and use that as a measuring stick of success. When your program uses a lost as success then your screwed. I'll agree that Silsbee hasn't don't much outside of the regular season in sometime but I can guarantee that they  don't say " we only lost West Orange Stank by 12. Let's be happy we didn't lose by 60 and build off that"! I think Huffman has a better chance at beating Yates in basketball than you do Silsbee in football. Yea I said it!

Huffman runs the same spread offense they have run over the past 3 years. Townly takes a 3 step drop and release. Throw off his timing and Silsbee could force a few bad passes. He like to hit Hardy, Harrell, and McCloskey on timing patterns. Gray is good a back that can catch as well. Huffman runs the ball  less that 25 percent of the time. Silsbee will be prepared. I bet they didn't practice due to weather.

Silsbee vs HJ has been the PREMIER match up in SETX for the past 7 years. Before then I would say it was Kountze vs HJ, Ozen vs Central, Silsbee vs PA Lincoln, West Brook vs Central. The only schools with a huge fan base to make noise over the past few years has been Silsbee, HJ, and Koutntze. Evadable and Spurger have done well but don't see too many of their fans on here. If you have never been to a Silsbee vs HJ home and home game, I'd advise you to do so. I really enjoy the fans and the clean game both teams play. Over the last few years I think both teams have combined to have 5 All State Players (Stallworth, Jones, Robinson,Donahoe, and Prudhomme), 2 of the states best coaches, and the largest crowds in SETX.
