He is the best guard I have ever seen at the high school level. He is out of Cy Lakes High here in Cypress.

I'm sure HJ has a great freshman group. That is nothing new. They have a fantastic basketball team every year. I look forward to the district battles vs Silsbee again this year.

The scary thing is Diboll really has no clue what Silsbee was missing. The game was the 1st of the year and this unit has never played together. This team could be scary good of the just keep working hard in practice.

Harris seems to be ready for a big year. I thought he was the best pure basketball player on the team last year. I think the starting lineup once football is over will be Grubbs, Harris, Dontre Thomas, Mike McCain, and Devon McCain. The bench will be the best in 4A. Mackey, Barnes, Adams, Newton, and Maze.

Silsbee will beat Central with or with out the football players. I said it here 1st!!!

I fully expect Silsbee football to play another 3-4 weeks. The basketball kids they have out there now are still very very good. They won't be a full team until around November 30th or so.

I would be a blessing to see Silsbee, Kountze, and Central or Oxen all in San Antonio this season. Silsbee players need to keep playing as if this was their last game. It takes a lot to get to state. It is never easy!

Wheatly had 3 starters coming back. I still have the program.The post with the goggles and 2 guards. Sterling was all senior except for like 3 kids. Scarbough will be back with the Hunter Janceck kid and that real athletic freshman. Navasota and LA Marque will be loaded along with HJ.

How will they look this season. Saw a impressive sophomore on youtube the other day who look like he could really play.
