  1. Call me crazy, but 47 billion US dollars buying 12 years or so of peace with Iran doesn’t seem as dumb as throwing 200 billion in munitions at them while crippling the world’s economy and causing global supply chain disruptions and economic upheaval, while digging deep into our stockpiles of missiles. And no idea where we go from here.
  2. Early reports say that the ceasefire has fallen apart. Israel bombed the hell out of Lebanon this morning and in response Iran says that Hormuz is closed again. I should have figured that Israel could be the wild card, and nobody was talking about them in regards to the ceasefire. It’s not over until everybody agrees it’s over, and some of the parties aren’t ready to stop yet. Just the reports that I’m reading. I’m curious if it’s true. I know Lebanon was bombed, but whether or not Iran is shutting Hormuz isn’t as concrete. I can’t wait to see how this plays out. We might not be able to walk away from this one.
  3. Hang on…. We can’t be calling people Nazis. That ruffles maga feathers.
  4. ummm… Hormuz was open and devoid of threats or tolls until we hopped on Iraq.
  5. “The best Christians can do is admit that they made a mistake in humility, and ask God for mercy.”
  6. I WILL cut off my nose to spite my face, and I WILL go down with the ship. It’s one of my more endearing traits. And I really, REALLY don’t like him.
  7. I think he’s blinking first. He’s phrasing it as a 2 week cease fire if Iran opens the strait of Hormuz. I think we’ll know if Iran accepts shortly, depending on whether or not they keep bombing stuff over there. I’ve got a feeling that they’re itching to make Trump look bad, as in “it’ll be over when WE say it’s over.”
  8. Those guys don’t care what Trump has to say. I think his mouth is writing checks that all of us are going to have to cash. They’re not going to to back down, and he’s either got to do something or go home like the draft-dodging coward that he is.
  9. That’s how you know someone lacks sense. They’ll believe some things without a shred of evidence (election fraud, SS fraud), and when someone says “yeah, well… there’s no proof that either one of those things happened,” the stalwart will say “I don’t care… you can’t prove it didn’t happen.” Or they’ll just attack the source for not merchandising the administration’s lies.
  10. Here’s the thing… you posted an article that took 1+1 and came up with 12.3 billion, while offering zero proof. I give an article explains how a stupid person might arrive at that initial conclusion, but you want more proof.
  11. Yeah…. I hate to rain on your parade, but it’s fake news. [Hidden Content] There’s no proof that any of those SSNs were receiving benefits. I’m sure that you won’t bother to read because the facts are in contradiction to your fairy tale. But it’s comical that y’all are having to pull news articles from a year ago to find something “positive” to post about Trump’s second failed presidency.
  12. Y’all said the same thing when Covid happened. “It wasn’t Trump’s fault. The people around him failed on purpose to try and destroy his presidency. “ He’s a con man. A master marketer, and he commands an allegiance from MAGA that is baffling. Debt is exploded, we’re in wars, economy is crap. “Art of the Deal. Trump’s playing 4d chess.” No, MAGA is brainwashed and it’s honestly pitiful.
  13. It’s marketing. Slap his name on something and the morons will line up to buy it. That’s the genius. People will overlook the failures and defend him to the end.
  14. What do yall make of his latest threats to Iran? That their civilization will end tonight? Is he going to drop a nuke? Is it more hot air? He’s kinda painted himself into a corner with anyone who isn’t wearing a red ball cap. Economy is a the edge of a cliff, we’ve dumped a few hundred billion into pointless attack on Iran, and our credibility on a global stage is destroyed because Trump is a buffoon with a smart phone and a global audience. It’s refreshing to see some republicans finally starting to find their voices. It gives me hope.
  15. No, Trump understands marketing. He’s failed a lot as a businessman. The only thing that kept him relevant was his ability to market himself. 10 years ago Trump told us he was going to erase the debt… which was 19 trillion at the time. It’s past 39 trillion now. He markets himself by offering tax cuts, while believing that his boldness and willingness to “go big or go home” guarantee that he can’t lose-except he does. A lot. Everything that they own is mortgaged to the gills. It just doesn’t work on a federal level. He’s a semi-successful hotel developer who thinks he’s smarter than everyone, and since our military is at his disposal, he can do whatever he wants. Nobody can argue that we’re in a better place now than we were when Biden was in office.
  16. No, I said that I thought a lot of it was false, but the parts that are true would out him prison if he were an average serial sex offender.
  17. I think the Rs will be lucky to hang onto the senate if the economy and geopolitical situations make a 180 degree turnaround. I’m thinking that the House is going D, no matter what.
  18. We’re blowing up boats in the Caribbean (and doubling back to make sure we kill everybody who was on board) because we think they might have drugs on board. We kidnapped the leader of Venezuela and then stole all of their resources. We attacked Iran because we want their oil, too. Cuba is next, unless we get stuck in Iran. None of that is defensive. None if it. And if you ask me, Iran obviously needed nukes to defend themselves against the US and Israel. We’ve proved the point that they needed them. But keep on believing that we’re the good guys, led by the Coward in Chief. I have it on good authority that his bone spurs are acting up again, and that’s why he’s been MIA.
  19. Were we at war with Iran or Venezuela? We are the terrorists.
  20. *peddle Kinda like so many people believe that election fraud is a problem in the United States today? (But only in elections that they lose).
  21. Your president has been tweeting nonstop about blowing them back to Stone Age and taking their oil. I bet you weren’t saying “unfortunately, civilians have been a casualty of every war” on 9/11/01. Hypocrisy knows no bounds when it comes to some groups
  22. I’m not like yall… I’m just going to celebrate when he leaves office. I’ll leave the celebrating deaths to Trump and his diehard supporters.
  23. I think we’ll all be very surprised the next time that we put troops on the ground somewhere. They always talk about how Vietnam was the first conflict that was videoed and played for Americans every night on the news, and it turned people off. The Gulf War and Iraqi Freedom were both “Nintendo” wars where we’d have first person footage of our missiles going in, plus infrared images of attacks on our enemies. It didn’t hurt that we weren’t suffering mass casualties in those conflicts. I’ve seen clips from the Russia/ukraine drone battles and it’s not easy to watch. It’s first person aerial photography from the drones as they hunt down the enemies. I don’t think that the American public is ready for that kind of footage showing the actual horrified last moments of our troops… troops who can probably be identified by family members if they actually see the clip. It’s one thing to cheer “USA!” from your easy chair when we waste a few thousand civilians in Iran. It’s going to be something completely different when we get to see the gruesome death of Private Whoever from Bridge City, Texas broadcast on the Internet.
  24. He has every other weekend during this “excursion.”
