  1. Like I keep saying… when decent men decide to accept less from their leaders, we end up with terrible leaders. Is that the approach you’d take when hiring police officers? “If I wanted a saint, I’d hire a preacher. Give me a bunch of felons to uphold the law. It’ll work out just fine.” It turns out that the lost important value a person has is their character… and self-proclaimed “good” people keep saying it doesn’t matter when it comes to Trump. You never gave your opinion on the performance of those ice agents in Minneapolis who beat and then killed that nurse. I just assumed you were putting together a bunch of legal opinions that would say “it’s okay to kill someone who isn’t resisting after you disarm them,” but I guess not. I guess it’s just another situation where “right is right and wrong is wrong, unless it comes from Trump’s big fat behind, then it’s okay because he talks to people the way that I wish I could, but I’d get fired.”
  2. That’s what’s nutty about the times we live in. I’m a fiscal conservative, and would have been considered a pretty far right leaning conservative on social issues especially. My opinions and beliefs haven’t changed, the political parties have. It’s easy to recognize that the Dems have shifted way left with their LGBTQ policies, etc…. But what most of y'all fail to realize is that the Republican Party has shifted to the extreme as well. We now approve of masked federal agents brutalizing American citizens, political leaders with the morals of an alley cat, “hate your neighbor” politics, etc… we’ve gone from the party of smaller government and God to being the party of MAGA worship. Just like in this election…. With the border effectively closed, we have to find someone to hate. Last cycle it was colony ridge, and this time it’s the Muslims that are trying to steal our country. The whole approach is just lame and appeals to the lowest common denominator- who is also the most staunch MAGA believer.
  3. And with that, I’ll back out of the convo. Y’all enjoy your afternoon.
  4. The white people who hate blacks and browns aren’t voting Democrat anymore. That’s a fact. Just like the black people who blame white privilege, systemic racism, and demand reparations aren’t voting Republican, either. Does anybody dispute those two assertions? Everybody has their own reasons for voting for whoever they want to. That doesn’t make them a racist. When they vote for racist reasons (the race of the candidate, etc…) that’s a racist act. Which leads me to the Republican Party today. They need the racists. They court the racists. I was at a local town hall this week for Republican candidates. The candidates honed in on attacking illegal immigrants and Muslims to the cheers of the older, exclusively white crowd. They still bring up Barack HUSSEIN Obama as if he’s relevant anymore. Those are facts. Not everybody who voted for Trump is a racist. That’s a fact. But all of the white racists voted for Trump… that’s a fact, also, in my opinion. And when Trump does racist things to please the racist segments of his coalition (like posting the Obamas as apes, then refusing to apologize) people who consider themselves to be non-racist are notably silent, or even defensive of the overly racist actions of the President. Instead of complaining “he called me racist,” you should be asking yourself “why do I condone racism, and does that make me a racist, too?”
  5. I said it plainly in an earlier post. The only type of person who would try to defend Trump’s racist posting is an obvious racist. “It was part of a longer video that was funny.” Yeah… the truth is that any other person in America who posted such a thing that would lose their job. Boomers: “well, they shouldn’t… it was funny back in ‘64.”
  6. You conned by the Don… he promised to repeal and replace “immediately” upon taking office in 2017. He failed. So yall re-elected him, and keep saying “it’s not his fault” that he didn’t do it the first time time, and has shown no interest in doing it the second time. Trump has the abject loyalty of an army of idiots. When somebody wakes up to reality, they’re the bad guy, like MTG.
  7. Good for you….
  8. Nope. The people who promised to repeal and replace it, then didn’t are the new owners. [Hidden Content]
  9. So did the trade deficit, the national debt, layoffs, and the price of groceries. You’re not seeing a growth in value of the stocks, what you’re seeing is a devaluation of the dollar. The t-bones I bought for 3.99 a pound four years ago are on sale for 9.99 per pound this weekend at Brookshire brothers. It won’t matter if you got a million dollars in your retirement account if one day a new pickup truck costs a hundred thousand dollars thanks to tariffs. Oh, wait….
  10. It’s so funny… it was intentional. Trump did it because he sees the polls and knows he needs to somehow motivate the racists in his MAGA base. Maybe they’re a little bummed because they haven’t seen the relief from high prices that Trump promised. Maybe they’re a little disillusioned by sissy-fied stream of lawsuits Trump keeps filing. Maybe there’s a small part of their pig-brains that thinks “maybe we shouldn’t be tearing down Washington, D.C. and rebuilding it with gold-leaf covered Trump branding when we’re kinda sorta struggling to make ends meet.” There’s no better way to get those people back on the bandwagon than lobbing a racist attack on the person that they hate the most, Obama. And here’s why I say so… The very least Trump should do is apologize and terminate the “staffer” who posted the meme. But he won’t, because he can’t…. that would infuriate his base- the racists.
  11. Nobody was accusing him of being a Nazi when he walked out onstage at the fist debate in 2016 and started us down this road. The problem is when Trump is confronted with his lies and mistakes, he goes off of the rails. He courted racists for their votes by repeating racist things, but doesn’t want to be called out for doing so. Trump LOVES conflict, but you’re saying that none of it is his fault? He was just responding to mean things that people said about the mean things that he did? That’s how you’re going to defend his depravity? It’s the same “Christians” said “oh, it’s just locker room talk” when Trump boasted about sexually assaulting women, but then cried foul when it was proven that he (shocker) sexually assaulted women. Trump is a creation of good people with flexible morals.
  12. I appreciate your saying that. It’s okay to say, “I still think he’s the right man for the job, he’s just doing a lot of dumb stuff right now.” If Trump’s base voiced displeasure at his antics, I think he might tone it back a little bit and focus on what he was elected to do.
  13. I think Cornyn needs to somehow win in the primary- I don’t like his chances in a runoff against Paxton. But IF Paxton wins the nomination, I think he has the biggest chance of losing to whichever Dem wins their nomination. Paxton (“Our General”) has the support of the MAGA crowd. The more centrist Rs prefer Cornyn. Personally? I’d vote for Cornyn. If Paxton gets the nom, I’ll vote for anybody else (including Crockett), just to punish MAGA.
  14. There’s no longer just a right or wrong. Now we have a category for Trump and his followers… it’s “normally wrong, but since Trump did it, it’s okay.” Today we have confirmed that the White House has held 16 billion in funding from the NYC area unless they agree to rename Dulles airport and the new tunnel into NYC) after Trump. He also reposted a picture of the Obamas as monkeys. During Black History Month, no less. [Hidden Content] Which would normally be considered racist, but since Trump did it, the MAGA faithful will say it’s just funny. And the “good” people won’t call it out because they’re not as good as they portray themselves to be. Trump embraces racism. No one but a fellow racist would even try to dispute that fact.
  15. Hypothetically, if someone was accused of having sex with goats by over thirty different people, and regularly denied it, but also dropped very public hints about how much he liked having sex with goats for decades, and ran a goat pageant to find the best looking goats, and was best friends with someone who went to prison for having sex with goats and trafficking goats to friends all over the world to friends who also liked to have sex with goats, and whose name appeared in the classified Sex with Goats Chronicles over 5000 times, and he wished other goat lovers well in prison… What do you think the odds are that he was actually sticking it to goats?
  16. Yeah… I guess y’all never heard of the Madagascar Plan. And just because the head of CBP Bovino goes around in Nazi cosplay and was criticized three days ago for attacking Jewish prosecutor’s faith on a conference call is all just a big coincidence.
  17. If they want employ Nazi-like tactics (SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS!!!) they should expect to get compared to Nazis. Today’s White House messaging is ripped directly from White Supremacist materials. The fact that MAGA faithful don’t even realize that the movements are identical (MAGA and NAZI) in their stated goals and origins is bewildering. A person can’t dress up like a clown, then get his feelings hurt when people think he’s just a clown.
  18. Looks like BC is picking cupcakes for non-district again
  19. Y’all were all crying “it’s not fair” when Trump got tuned up for a few hundred mill because he couldn’t shut his stupid mouth over E Jean Carroll. Trump is the biggest baby that we’ve ever had. It’s kinda funny how all of these so-called “men” admire that feminine energy. Trump was that kid on the playground saying “I’ll SUE you!”
  20. I saw this on fb… somebody said “last time, he did a lot of things I didn’t agree with, but he made the liberals cry and we had a good economy until COVID, so it was okay. This time all he’s doing is putting his name on stuff and suing people, plus we’ve got a crappy economy. I’ve seen enough.” I bet there are a lot of people who feel like that.
  21. Truth… it’s what I’ve been saying. Sane people like you and I, who probably have differing views on a lot of issues, but agreeing that those guys (the far left and far right) are the real problem with America today need to stand up and be heard.
  22. It’s not going to be blue… yet. But that day is coming. Whatever ground Trump and the Rs made with Hispanics in Texas is likely lost since he took office. I hope that in addition to the House, the Ds get a few more d senators. We could have Trump impeached and removed in a little over a year, if my prayers go unanswered and God doesn’t strike him down before that. But if Paxton gets nominated for Senator, I think Talarico has a shot. But I’m equally certain that the Ds will nominate Jasmine Crockett instead of Talarico, because “why anybody nominate a sane person on either side?” I have Hispanic friends (legal) who are legitimately scared of being detained by ICE. They won’t be voting for Rs this time around, I bet.
  23. Back in ‘39 everybody in Germany was in favor of doing a little deportin’ too. Back then it was the Jews that were causing all of the problems for the white man. I guess it doesn’t matter if they’re on a train or on a bus, so long as they aren’t here anymore, right? We’re out about a half step away from a new “Final Solution.” I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that MAGA is openly supporting Nazi sympathizers these days. [Hidden Content]
  24. There’s plenty of evidence that indicates that he’s done something. Is there proof? I don’t think so. And it doesn’t matter, because his supporters can hear him (In his own voice) demanding that the Secretary of State from Georgia “find me the votes,” but think that there’s no “there” there. But then be freaking out for joy this week when the feds run through the Georgia election department, but be mad when the feds went and retrieved classified documents from Mir-a-Lago because Trump hadn’t done anything wrong. His supporters are only committed to one thing. Not conservatism, not America, not Christ, not even committed to the idea of right and wrong… but they are steadfastly committed to Trump.
