Just because you played once, or had a kid go through the program does not entitle you to have a valid opinion. You are only entitled to an opinion...and, in my experience, most of those opinions are ignorant. That is my opinion.

West Rusk is far more talented defensively than Edgewood....edgewood is better than WR offensively and Troup beat both teams by 2 scores, 12 and 14 points, respectively.

Coaches do not care what fans think. You can be the star but there isn't a coach who would take ANY advice from you.

This "fan" is an odd one for sure. His nephew or whatever doesn't get to play, so this guy thinks he knows better than the coaches who are there every day. Typical I know more than the professional who has done this for 30 years because I won a Little League Super Bowl when my son was playing.

If Woodville is playing good football, my source says Kountz does not have a shot....however, if Woodville stays in their current funk...then Kountz could win and take the 2nd spot.

I would have thought that HJ would have been a power by now...they have great competitive kids on a regular basis. I always thought that would be a good job.

Unfortunately, Splendora screwed up by hiring the last 2 coaches. One was the HR director's best buddie and he screwed up the program. The second hire was just a bad guy. The guy now is a good guy but he has never accomplished anything other than being the current AD's assistant in softball once before. The place screwed up real bad after Schulz left.

Not 1 of those players went to college to play ball. Just great HS football players.

In every case, the coaches know far more than 95% of the fans. I said what I said.

This one will be super interesting. Do they go hire another big name with multiple championships but all the resources at their disposal OR do they hire someone who has a reputation for making poor teams competitive but hasn't won the big one??
