  1. The answer is obviously yes.

There should be at least 6 cameras installed in every high school stadium in Texas. There needs to be two extra refs at each game for the replay with one on the field and one in the press box. All of this added expense can come at no cost to Texas taxpayers and can be funded by the economic stimulus package.

Also each stadium would need to have a jumbotron so the fans could see the replays. ;D

  2. I just took a look over there at that site. The Farmer guy looks to be getting the best of WOS87. By those pics that were put up, I would have to agree that the Carroll-Trinity game had just as much if not more than the Plano-PNG game of '77.

BTW, I attended that PNG game in '77. I was 13 years old and remember two things about that game. One, I was amazed at the amount of people that both schools had at this game and two, how bad Texas Stadium was compared to the Dome. It really wasn't that great of a stadium.

I'm with you aggie.Went to Texas Stadium for the first when WO-S played Ennis. Was not impressed at all...was a little disapointed to tell you the truth.I felt like it was closing in on me...really felt small. Now the dome had all the room you wanted. What a wonderfull place to play football.

  3. lc-m and couch crouch need to worrie about  winning games not the color of there helmets

I doubt very seriously that they are "worried" about it. When you are setting off on a new program, sometimes it is good to change thinks up a bit to help the feeling of the new start. I think this is a fairly common occurrence and certainly not limited to LC-M. I don't think they are going to miss any two-a-days because of a new helmet logo.

Isn't PN-G going to change their scheme up a bit? Maybe their new coach isn't worried about winning.  8)

Good luck to LC-M, their new coach and their new helmet logo.

Yeah. That bojo thing really helped. :-*

  4. That's easy. WOS and whoever they play. They are real good at what they do. Gary Stelly is the best. They are an Orange radio station so they seem to carry more WOS games than anyother teams. And WOS has had more success the the other teams in Orange county. That is why I wish that Setxsports were able to carry the other teams on their broadcast.

Not really.Gary tries real hard not to be just a homer. He likes to do the games that have some meaning to them out of WO-S,BC,OFand LCM.Granted if your team is having a lousy year you might not get on the raido much.I remember when wo-s and lcm were in the playoffs and both had good teams...Gary ran himself crazy to do both teams with some of them being on the same day.Your right about him being this best though.

  5. Really enjoyed watching LSU's left side of the infield make those plays all series.  :o Difference was not cashing in with the bases loaded. LSU seemed to get the clutch hit when they needed and thats what champs do. Hoping for the same 2 teams next year. Congrats to LSU and their fans. But most of all Hook'em Horns!

That sums it up pretty well.Had Texas got the hits it needed when those bases were loaded the LSU sixth might have been and inning that just tied the game. For Texas to win the CWS they had to stop LSU from getting those big inings of 6 plus runs...28 of the 29 inings they did just that.

  6. That was one great game.Texas just couldn't get that one out in the ninth.Thought after getting out of that jam in the tenth the horns were going to win it but started the eleventh out the same way. Can't give a team like LSU to many oppertunities are they will bury you.I hate to say it but I think that was Texas season last night.Don't think they can take two in a row from LSU.

  7. my sources tell me that the QB  at WOS, who is only 6`-2, is just too short to play QB for WOS this year. he will need to roll out to get his passes over his taller OL.  the extra time to get the passes off will give the DB time to catch up to the WR and make the interception. it`s all over for the Mustangs.

If the DB is not step for step with the WR from the get go he ain't gonna catch him. ;D

  8. the stark hi school tigers 62-63 team we had some super football players on that team.i will add a few names----david foster QB  all american----charles owens  FB---- dan sears RB----- rc slocum  TE--- jack the crazy legs mc clelland

They were called "The Zing Along Gang" because the offense was so overpowering. As I recall, the All District Offensive team was practically the Stark starting line-up, with the Tigers supplying 9 of the 11 positions. And I think they had 5 out of 11 on the Defense.

In district play that year, 1962, the other five teams scored a total of 12 points against Stark. Of those five, only one team held the Tigers to less than 40 points.

The "zing along" tag was inspired by the TV show "Sing Along With Mitch" which featured a choir of about 30 male voices that was called the Sing Along Gang.  The show had a brief bit of popularity, but is now long since forgotten.

Year after year, we at Stark didn't have a lot of athletic success to cheer about. The handful of bright moments meant a lot to us. And still do, even a lifetime later.

Being a Stark grad the 62-63 team was the only bright spot that I can remember.I have often said if our qb had not broken his arm we would have been playing in the state game.

Now I follow WO-S.The 87 team was great and would have to be considered the best to go 15-0 but I kind of like the 2000 squad for the heart that team had.Picked to finish fourth in district( the 87 team was picked to win it all ) and no real stars on that team they never quit beleiving in themselves and made it to the state game.

  9. ok now lets start like this.agnest silsbee was it the running of the tigers that made it that close of a game . #2 now gilmer, did thay run wild over the mustangs.now you tell me what the mustangs must do to make this team state champs, i know do you

Uh, no. Silsbee wasn't able to run the ball very well against that Stang defense. What they did do well was pass the ball. Silsbee had about 240 yards of offense that night with 180 of that coming via the air.

Don't any of you think that Silsbee defense had a lot to do with keeping the game close? I do.
